Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Reviews
Front desk person is very surely
Staff needs to have a better attitude
sandy green
They recently vericut and airiated greens everything else was great and the greens actually putted fairly well
i was not told by golfnow that the greens were being airified and only 9 holes were open. very disappointed.
Beautiful Sunday morning.
Golf course was in very good condition. Pace was quick, but we still waited on almost every tee box due to group ahead of us not playing ready golf. They had at least 2-3 holes clear ahead of them. We were able to talk to the marshal who got their pace quickened for a little while, but slowed again on the final 4 holes. All in all a good time on the course.
Bunkers
Of course it’s the oldest course around . Understand. However. I reviewed this and your asking me to do again . Bunkers are excessive . At every green . No ice on carts .
San Marcos
Alot of sand traps surrounding the holes. Pace of play was great very guiet day. Very open as I found other fairways.
Hard as in bunkers
This is old I get it . But try to stay out of swarms of deep hard bunker surrounding every hole . Not easy . No ice chest on carts that is really a no brainer. Hot need ice and cart lady .
Old course
One of the oldest GC in the valley and still in great shape. Greens are descent, pace was good. Course is fairly pretty easy for beginners and intermediate like myself. Staff are friendly as well.
Great option!
San Marcos is always in great condition and I rarely pass on the opportunity. My only problem is they don’t have a real range, only limited flight balls. This is extra frustrating as there are many long par 4s on the front and if your like me, wish I had hit driver a few times before the round. Otherwise, great track.
