Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

San Marcos, a Gem in the Heart of Chandler
My group and I have played this course 3 times, so far, in 2024. The fairways and greens are in really good conditions.
The sand traps, all 3 protecting every green, could use some sand as they are a little shallow. But hey, who wants to play from the sand anyway?
On my first trip here staff warned me to stay out of the sand traps. They were spot on.
San Marcos is a nice, clean course. Not too much trouble and is fun to play as an average golfer.
Great traditional course!
Have played this course a few times now and we really enjoy it! It’s in pretty good shape! It had rained the day before so the bunkers had water and there was scattered standing water in the rough and fairways, no big deal. The staff is always pleasant and pace of play was great.
Original course round
Didn't realize we had booked right behind a tournament, thus a bit slow for my liking. However we did manage to finish. Greens were great, fairways good. Any staff we interacted with were awesome. Some sandtraps could use some sand.
Overall a lovely day.
Pleasant Surprise
We were very pleased with all aspects of the course.. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Will definitely be back. Good value for the money.
water and sand needed
Course is dry and hard - needs plenty of water to make the grass grow. Greens hard as bricks requiring you to roll ball on green. Sand traps need sand - almost impossible to hit out of sand. Even though the course was in OK shape, round was fun because of two playing oartners
Nice course
Course in great shape, All the staff 5 stars..I was a single and followed foursomes all day but still play 18 holes in 3 :45 minutes.
Great staff
Weather went from Marginal to Ice Station Zebra on the front. Rain and wind found us all thawing out in their bar area. Great service and rain checks for the back nine.
