Course Manners
Should institute a ban on people playing music through their phone. We got matched up with a golfer who had poor etiquette, smoked, talked too much and had music. Maybe he'll read this review.
The course needs signage between holes. If one is not familiar with course, it is not always obvious where the next hole is. We had a twosome in front of us who waited to hit in most holes until the people in front were putting although they could not hit very far
Course Condition Awful - Should have been Warned Before Booking
This Review is only for this last round I played and not the course under normal operations. I have played Pusch Ridge many times and love the course, But I should have been warned prior to booking that course hasn't been watered for weeks because they were closing for summer and that was last day open - it was virtually unplayable. I'm mad that I paid almost $40 for each for me and my playing partner for 9 holes. There were dozens of courses in Tucson we could have played for less than that, but I told them this is a great 9 hold course. Highly Disappointed.
Thank You,
Fred
Unacceptable course conditions
I understand it was the last day of the season. But the staff openly told me after I checked in that the course hadn’t been maintained in well over a week. Tee boxes were basically dirt. Couldn’t even get a tee in the ground on half of them. If you’re going to close for the season and still charge $38 for nine holes on the last day, the course should have acceptable conditions. Otherwise close the course the day you stop maintaining it. Complete waste of time and money.
Beautiful background…not so pretty grounds
Played at the El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort Pusch Ridge golf course and came away with mixed feelings. The scenery and mountain views were absolutely stunning — easily the highlight of the experience. It also wasn’t crowded, which made for a relaxing pace of play.
Unfortunately, the course conditions didn’t match the beautiful setting. The course was extremely dry, the fairways lacked life, and the greens were far too fast to be enjoyable. The bunkers were especially disappointing — unswept and packed down hard as concrete, making them difficult to play from and clearly not well maintained.
Overall, the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking scenery saved the round, but the actual course conditions left a lot to be desired.
Go Play
Nice golf course. Good layout. Free range balls is nice.
Wanted more money or to double pay
Older gentleman in the Pro shop said I needed to pay again and that fees paid thru GolfNow app are only to hold the Tee time so I cancelled what I paid in the app for refund and paid again. I even explained to him that I never have to pay again after I’ve already booked using this app.
Overbooked
They had to many golfers, each hole has three sets of golfers, so slow loose your rhythm. Didn't seem like they cared about the golfers just want more money. Not a fun day
Watch out for residents
Had a dude on hole 6 walking dog walk out in front of us while teeing off and the dude picked up two of our balls!!! I got to him he acted like I was ridiculous for calling him out! He then. Proceeded to walk that dog back across our fairway , then across the green and down hole 7!
Canada Oro Valley
Slow, play no ranger on course to help out. Again bunkers are almost unplayable as they lack sand, hard packed and rocky
