After the storm
The course was a little ravaged by the storms earlier in the week. But the staff has done an excellent job of clearing the sand and trees out of the way of play. Repairs were on going when we finished our round.
Best value course in Tucson
Are there nicer courses? Sure. Do I want to pay double to play them? Nope. This course is the best value in Tucson. Beautiful, great staff, convenient side stops for Mexican food, beer, drinks or whatever you may need around holes 11/15.
We ran into a few jerks who kept playing into us on this particular visit, but after we chucked their balls back at them there were no issues.

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your experience at El Conquistador. We hope to see you again soon.
Nice all around
Course conditions good in all aspects. They continue to work on playability. Didn’t like the fact that pin location was the same from 4 days earlier which shows slack preparation. Wondering how often greens are mowed?
It was hot, there was cold water in buckets at proper intervals, just monsoon (humid) summer in Tucson, deal with it (play early).
Clubhouse food and bar OK. Other course closed for extensive improvements. A convenient place to play, there are better, but nice to visit occasionally.

Great Course for the Money
This was the 3rd time I played this course and it was in very good condition. Booked through TeeOff and got a great price. I would recommend this course and will be back again.

BEST Value for a TUCSON Area Course
The Canada course is well laid out and challenging. I will come back when the other course is ready after re-construction. I am also going to look at membership. I need a "golf home". Thank you-Terry W. Protto

Good Course
The Cañada side (the only one playing, is showing the wear of being the only side open. Fairways are good; greens are worn, inconsistent, and the cross cut marks add to the less-than-smooth rolls. Still, a lot of challenges for a decent price. Unfortunately, the range is now closed although a portion is open but further down range.

Thank you for your review and we appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and we are always striving to improve . We hope to see you again soon.
Surprisingly Fun
Thought the course was in good shape considering it's the summer in Arizona..

Thank you for your review and we appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your experience at El Conquistador and hope to see you again soon!
Great shape
The course was in great shape. Very few 'brown' spots. Pace-of-play was slow. The Marshall was out a couple times checking on the speed of play and he seemed satisfied that it was close to the scheduled times.

Thank you for your review and we appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your experience at El Conquistador and hope to see you again soon!
Excellent value
Course is in good shape. Greens were excellent, fairways ok. This is a difficult golf course with some interesting terrain. Our pace of play was approx 3 and 3/4 hours for 18 holes. Range balls were included, decent practice area. Drink cart made the rounds a few times, very pleasant lady running it. Lots of ice water on the course. I rate this 5 stars, an excellent value.

Improvement showing
Greens plugged and dressed a few weeks ago (?) and although somewhat bumpy putted well. Not quite there yet, but better than many other courses in the area.
Bunkers have sand but always wet. Daytime watering is responsible.
Fairways good, cut so you can play various shots and clubs.
Ranger actually talked to a group in front and asked them to move faster, nice!
Other 18 closed for irrigation and pump work, so maybe this course seeing added attention?
Clubhouse food and drinks available and worthy of a go. Prices decent as are green fees.

Thank you for your review and we appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future as we continue to improve the overall experience at El Conquistador.
