Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

I was expecting a good experience, given the association with TPC Stadium and the price, but was quite disappointed. The staff seemed disinterested and the course conditions were mediocre. The gal serving lunch and drinks at the bar, and the cart lady, provided good service, and the range was fine.

There was a partial shotgun a couple hours ahead of our time, with the pace of the first few holes being reasonable. But the last 13 holes were painfully slow!! We waited way too long at every tee box, kinda ruined a good day.

Despite playing fine, I would not return to this course

Deliver a better product TPC, please.

Everything was great - they only negative was the pace of play. The golf ranger was great and tried to fix the problem but to no avail.

I was fortunate to get a great rate on GolfNow as long as I booked a 3 or 4some. I love this course better than Stadium Course. Conditions were excellent. We had a foursome and played in under 3 hours 45 minutes. Traps were the only thing I would knock but that’s being picky. Greens ran very well. Certainly on the faster side but not too fast. Very consistent.

The cart girl was awesome. We saw her at least 4-5 times. Wow. All staff very friendly from the moment you get to the course, to pro shop, to restaurant to everyone at the course. Overall a fun and favorite course to play especially with a special rare they offered for booking well in advance!

Greens were fast but true. They also didn’t hold very well.

In terms of value for the money, don’t bother. If it is a bucket list item, go ahead and play but you will pay twice as much, or more, as similar corses.

Good course for the first round in a long time. Excellent pace of play. Friendly staff. Good practice facilities.

VERY slow play , The sand traps were in very poor condition.

Get ready for slow play while bachelor parties full of non-golfers create slow play conditions. Several times we were 2 groups deep waiting on the tee.

First time playing here and it lived up to the expectations. Have played a few courses in the area and this was by far the best and the value was unreal. Would highly recommend playing here.

The course was in fantastic condition, the bunkers were perfect and the greens fast and true and the tee boxes and fairways were perfect.

A little pricey but worth it one time.

I will say up front, this is a beautiful course, great layout, challenging, lots of risk vs reward choices. However, the overall experience was brought down by the pace of play. My group was a twosome, behind a foursome, which was behind another foursome. We waited in between every single shot throughout the entire round. Other than the start, we didn’t see a ranger the entire day so I’m assuming the course was either unaware or thought the play would eventually smooth out. Ten to fifteen minute wait times at the tee, five to ten minute wait times for approach shots. Again, it’s a beautiful course and the amenities are fantastic but no one wants to wait forever in between shots.

I would say the first notable thing was the frequency of small private aircraft traversing right over the top of the golf course. We calculated it to be every 5 to 8 minutes. A new aircraft landed. We feel that the advertisements on the carts course screen were excessive. The conditions of the course physically were outstanding! The service of the staff in the friendliness of the staff was outstanding! The frequency of the teetimes being every nine minutes seems to be excessive. A timeframe of every 12 minutes seems to be more optimal. The outcome of that course activity was that we were waiting on every tea box to take our turn.
