Designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, The Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale was purpose-built to host the PGA Tour's Phoenix Open, and it has done so since 1987. Designed with high drama in mind, the venue is well known as one of the most exciting and fan-friendly in all of golf, which includes a thrilling finishing stretch that begins with the risk-reward 15th hole. The course plays to over 7,200 yards from the tournament tees, but golfers who play the course during their Arizona golf vacation will find the layout has more forgiving fairways than many other area desert courses. The TPC experience includes one of the most encompassing practice areas in the destination, as well as grand clubhouse that includes the Toro Restaurant and Rum Bar. TPC Scottsdale is also home to the Champions Course, which plays out of a separate facility nearby.

Pristine Course

Friendly staff, well manicured greens and fairways. Tee boxes were also in great shape. No wonder WM Phoenix open is hosted by this course every year.

Course conditions

I came from NC to play the stadium course and was totally disappointed. The course was in terrible shape.

Burnt out spots on the fairways, tee boxes beat up and bare spots on some of the greens. I would have expected a warning when a made the reservation or at least a reduced price when I checked in.

Would have played at another course and returned to TPC at a later date when the course was in better shape.

Woke up with the flu did not want to lose my money

Woke up sick as a dog I knew there was a 24-hour rule so I showed up anyway played the best I could throwing up and with chills but other than that everything was fine

Great day at a very nice course.

Very Over-Rated Course

Bucket list

We played this course 3 weeks out from the phoenix open, the course was pristine. Cart paths only, plenty of picture opportunities with the stands in place for the event, especially on 16, only thing missing were the crowds. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Bucket list checked.

Amazing experience

Definitely play this course . Our caddie Pat was awesome , the course was in great shape , and the weather was perfect . Keep the ball in the fairway because the rough is pretty much a stroke penalty

Fast and friendly

Played in the heat of August, but went off early and played with 3 others who also wanted to enjoy their round, but wanted to play in under 4 hrs. For being the middle of summer, the course was in fine shape. A summer dust storm had hit the day before, but little evidence remained the next morning. Kudos to the maint team.
