Good course
6 players. All really liked the course. Practice area closed and not announced when tee times booked. Greens were heavily ball-marked.
Overrated
This was by far the worst golf course we played in the Phoenix Scottsdale area this week. The fairways were torn up and the greens were in terrible shape. Our round took almost 5 hours, and that is only playing 14 holes. Way overpriced for what you are going to get. Would not recommend playing right now!
Rough start but fun in the end
Was initially disappointed the driving range was closed for maintenance. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. I have lots of stiff joints and it requires a lot of time to loosen up on the range (or somewhere) in order to find my swing for the day and be ready to play. Unfortunately, that affected my front 9. The back improved quite a bit once I was loosened up a bit. Had a hard time gauging the greens and kept hitting the low side of the hole. However, the scenery more than made up for the poor round. Can't wait to come back.
Great course
I love playing Troon north. I was disappointed only in that the driving range was closed. If you are going to play a great course, you like to enjoy the experience, not just starting swinging away.

Very busy place. Great layout but needs some TLC
Greens were very banged up but we played at 3 pm
Pace of play was very slow and no ranger in sight
Had a 5 some bachelor party 2 groups ahead of us and was extremely slow..
Would like to go back and enjoy it more
Troon North on the Cheap
This course is excellent in the summer. Great conditions and fees are much more reasonable. Our rate was only $81 on Teeoff.com. Would not pay $200+ for this course in the winter. My difficulty rating is based on the Silver tees which was about 6200 yards. Fairways are generous and not much protects the greens.
Not worth the cost
Very disappointed as when I booked a few days ago on Golf Now is said that the practice are would be closed from October to November. We showed up today to find that today was the first day it was closed. Playing a tight course that cost $400 for a twosome with no warmups is tough. The golf cart GPS was off 10 to 20 yards per hole as well. It’s 110 degrees and they give you one bottle of water each. Greens were soft and very bumpy. I have played here a few times in the past and it was in much better shape and the GPS worked. Basically l, I would not have played here if the range was closed and we should have been told prior to setting up a tee time.
Will be back
Excellent layout. Played in the afternoon and finished in approximately 3hours. Course was in great shape
Always the Best
Worth the money. It’s a destination course and I’m lucky enough to live near it. Treat yourself And take in the views. The staff is amazing. Enjoy.
Confused at the hype
I must say I’m confused at the hype for this golf course. The layout of the course is just silly. Target golf of all target golf places I’ve ever been. Conditions were great but my goodness how many 5 irons off tees can be hit before you just throw your hands up. Not my kind of golf in the least. Enjoy hitting irons to targets off tees unless you hit your driver less than 240 yards
Good Course- Soaked Fairways
Use to always love playing this course-
Today was a totally diff story
Fairways were soaked at 9am in the morning
This is totally unacceptable
Ball not rolling at all and lost a few cause they plugged
Others than that always love this course
Troon North Incredible As Always
Played Troon North Pinnacle Course today and it was in incredible shape. Fairways and tee boxes like carpet and greens were phenomenal. Greens were so smooth and fast for summer.....they also were very soft. This course is an absolute must play if in Phoenix......love this place!
Beautiful desert course.
Spectacular desert course winding up and down the foothills in Scottsdale. The course is in superb condition for any season. For the peak of the summer it is outstanding.
It is a challenging track. There is a need for accuracy and distance control. Very unforgiving desert is everywhere. The greens are so nice. There are some superficial blemishes, but true and fast with significant contour to boot.
The staff was nothing short of awesome. Service was impeccable. You get what you pay for and they give it to you at Troon North. A must play in Scottsdale/Phoenix.
Amazing Course
Played the Pinnacle course yesterday and boy it was a treat! The greens are unbelievable right now. They have to be some of the absolute best in the valley. The overall course conditions were very impressive for summers in Scottsdale. The staff, facilities, and practice area are all some of the best as well. This is a must play when in Scottsdale!
The Best in Arizona
Amazing place. The entire Troon team are pros. The course conditions immaculate for anytime of year but unbelievable during 100+ degree summer days. Greens were perfect. Mix in the views and all the amenities that Troon provides makes it a “must play”. 3 hr and 40 minute round to boot…….
Get out here boys- you will not regret it.
Side note- it cost me 24$ thru Golf Now- Hot Deal for 54$, but I had earned 3- 10$ monthly credits from GN…
