Pinnacle at Troon North Golf Club
About
Pinnacle at Troon North represents a stunning, challenging golf experience blended into the high Desert's natural beauty with steep arroyos, natural washes and forests of saguaros and desert foliage. Portions of some fairways are hidden behind boulders and hills. Huge greens surrounded by large bunkers and sloping terrain challenge golfers on every approach shot.
A round of golf on the Pinnacle Course at the Troon North Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 392 yards from the Black tees. Things get crazy long on the 16th hole, a par 5 that plays to 609 yards from the Black tees. By that measure, the 18th hole will be a cakewalk, at par-4 and just 447 yards from the Black tee to the clubhouse.
After finishing the Pinnacle Course at Troon North Golf Club, head to the Grille, which offers a view of others trying to complete the course you've conquered, as well as the desert.

The good and the bad
I played pinnacle to monument. The course was in immaculate condition, nice layout and beautiful views. The staff were very friendly. Expect to spend alot of money here and play a 6 hr round.
Hot in AZ
Great course, temp was 90 for most of the day, found out a major Am tournament is headed to this course.
Mixed courses
It would have been nice to know ahead of time that we would be playing 2-10 on the Pinnacle Course and 10-18 on the Monument Course.
Great summer condition and rates
Played 2x this past week. Must be a good golfer to score well. 18 holes are closed for summer time renovation: open are Pinnacle‘s front 9 (2-10) and Monument’s back 9. My 2 favorite 9’s! Greens in great shape unlike some local courses like Rancho Manana’s with unplayable crap greens. Green speed at 10.6 (sup was kind enough to test it for us). Once figuring out each green’s grain direction we found the putts all ran true. Troon’s fairways were surprisingly in great shape even with the 112 temp. Nice that the beverage cart came by 4x and a ranger with iced towels. Found 6 sand traps all with good sand of the same consistency. Cost: best value in town at $75 (w Troon card). Best conditioned public course that I have found in Phx this summer.
Challenging course more suited for single digit hadipper
Came here with a lot of expectations and mostly met. Didn’t have the game that day so can’t really blame the course. I would have enjoyed it even more if my handicap is a bit lower. Overall a very nice course.
Give me bbbb rake
5 hour round??terrible in heat
And cart girl says health inspector won’t let them do limes for beer and drinks??????first time I’ve heard that at the over hundie courses I’ve played throughout valley including snobsdale!!give me break
All greens were punched and no warning or alert was published onsite or on golfnow during time of booking. Disappointed to play through that and also have a round that took more than 4h30min on a weekday.
Everything you expect and more
To start the week, my clubs were supposed to get to Arizona the day before I played Troon, they never made it and the staff did everything they could to make it right, they even let my gf ride for free and waived the rider fee, they also gave me a discount on rental clubs. I absolutely loved this golf course. They’re renovating the monument course so we played the old layout. (Front 9 - monument, back 9 - pinnacle), everything about the course was perfect. Greens were flawless as well as the tee boxes and fairways. Speaking of the greens they were lightning fast and the course is super narrow through unbelievable scenery. If I’m ever out here again from New Jersey this is going to be my first stop.
Incredible Scenic Course
Played an early time when the temps were a bit cooler. It was a beautiful day and the course was magical. My only feedback is that they need better signage to guide players around the course. It was very confusing at times, such as how to get to the first tee and where to go after the turn. This was relatively minor though in the grand scheme of things.
Troon Monument day
Course was in excellent shape. Traps, greens and fairways well conditioned. This course is not easy. Multiple desert hazards on some holes forcing some to lay up more frequently then normal. Just be sure you are up for a challenge if you choose to play this venue.
Simply Perfect
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot/bag drop it was obvious the experience will be incredible. As a person who pays attention to very little things like the way employees are dressed to how the greens are maintained. I could not find anything to ‘complain/ point out’. Staff was extremely vigilant of where we were (remembered our names) and what our needs might be, and were there to assist.
