Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
This course is must play if in the area has a lot of history and large trees
Nice warm up practice facility. The course seems to be in pretty fair shape for this time of year. friendly staff, good place to have a hotdog and beer restaurant was really good. Also greens were fairly nice to put on fairways were dry in places didn’t care for the par three hole over the septic pond. There was a bit of a foul smell, other than that great little track. Nice lengthy course. You can play back golds or blacks, which make it super challenging.
Good layout
We love the course layout. The greens had been top dressed so it made putting more challenging although they ran true. Had we known, we would have played a week or so later.. Fairways were patchy in areas but still pretty good.
Back to Nature
Play here frequently and enjoy the wildlife water an trees throughout the course.
Fantastic experience. Loved the course. Will be back again.
Francisco Grande
A great course with a great staff. Could use a ranger to keep up the pace of play. Always enjoy this course.
Wet and muddy
Course was very wet in places and some muddy spots
History
Like the Architecture and history of the course.
Son was down from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Took him to the course for this reason
BEST COURSE FOR $
There’s plenty of courses around here that cost more for the course to be garbage. This course is the best dispute 2 tee boxes that seem to never be repaired and one green that stays burnt this course still played very true! Greens are in great shape great speeds. They do not have a marshal out unless you complain so if you have morons slowing down pace of play just call front desk. You will not be disappointed coming here staff are very very friendly.
Garbage!!!
Seriously and i give honest and fair reviews.
I paid $49 after tax and the lady at the counter (who was super nice) said it was such a deal. I couldn’t DISAGREE more!!! This place has a serious irrigation issue. The fairways are muddy in the middle of the day, yet it is kissing grass?!?!?! How can a course with so much water leaking have such dead greens. They were dry, dead, and bumpy. Many patches on the course dead and yet others were covered with water and mud.
This course closes in the summer and you would think a month after reopening it would have lush GREEN fairways and putting greens. I’m a reasonable person and if this is the best conditions you can get then ok I understand, but charge half of what you are charging. Now I know better and will take my money to a course near by like Dave white which has excellent fairways and greens AND is cheaper
