Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
Dried up terrible fsirways
Once a pretty cool course with decent fairways, slow greens and ok tee boxes. Its looks like their irrigation died…trenches and wires open on some holes, huge spots of sand/dirt on many fairways, nothing is ever weed whipped around trees or fence lines, it’s worth $35. Hope it can make a comeback as greens were ok but bumpy and long….gem of place is the outdoor bump and run with good service, food and beverage.
Bad Conditions
I would never play this course again. The conditions are awful and they have ponds that smell like sewage.
They had a sprinkler system failure after oberseesing this fall. The fairways were not vey good on the affected holes.
I like the course layout and with they could get some rain to heal it up. Very long and well laid out course. Just in really tough shape right now!! To bad. Don’t think I can recommend right now.
Greens were not consistent otherwise enjoyed the round as usual
Course conditions
Course needs so much work they need to shut it down for a year.
Fairways in tough shape
The course has gone downhill each year over the past 3 years. So much potential on this course. Sad that the fairways are beat up so bad . Greens were okay. Staff inside and out are awesome. We decided yesterday that we would not come back.
Horrible conditions
Course was in horrible condition. Many bare and massive dirt areas in fairways. Greens slow and not in good shape. Figured the amount of play reflected the course conditions and cost. If looking for a decent course I would not recommend
Poor Conditions
Very poor conditions. Not worth the drive. Better off paying more money to play somewhere else. $60 is too much to charge for this course.
Kind of rough
There is considerable amount of ground under repair and most of the greens are rather rough.
Truly terrible conditions
Course was to the point they should close down. Greens had several spots each with sand and dirt. Fairways had dirt patches 20-30 yards long. No beverage service except for the turn (people were terrific and food was good). Ponds were gross. Mud everywhere (no rain anytime in past week or two).
We had out of town guests and I was embarrassed to have taken them here.
Hello Robdowing,
Thank you for your review and we apologize for your unpleasant experience last week. We realize the course is not in normal condition right now, and are working hard to correct it. We have been fertilizing heavier due to the conditions, which is why the course was wetter than normal.
