Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino

The mosquitos were unbearable and that's an understatement. We had several types of bug spray with the foursome, and nothing mattered due to the volume of mosquitos that would swarm you nonstop. The number of welts all over my body and my girlfriend's body is crazy and it's so bad the course needs to shut down for health concerns. I am shocked there was no warning posted during booking and I feel bad for the employees that work there.

Play this course quite a bit when the rates are within reason. I was surprised how dry the course was compared to the other times I have played it even in July and August. Tee boxes were pretty beat up but the greens were decent still.

Winds were 20-25 with higher so pace of play was really good

Greens were the best I have played since I have been here (5 the different course includes both we Ko Pa courses)

Bunkers could use a little tlc

I generally stay in Peoria but still play here at least twice during my 10 day stay

I work at a course that has hosted Ryder cup, us opens , pga champ and BMW

This is a great course and well run operation

We played on a VERY windy day, which made this course treacherous! It’s a great layout, good visuals on most holes. Must be able to hit to a location and avoid bunkers. Sand everywhere. Overall, grass is in good shape, greens are in great shape and rolling true. We had a great time, friendly staff, courteous Starter (Bob), and they even got our two separate two-somes out early and in the same group. It was a great day. If you can find a cheap rate, don’t hesitate to go!

This course is 100% worth the drive. Always amazing conds. Played on a Friday under 4 hours. Bring your A game for the bunkers, there's a few. 4 hcp player. Not a beginners course

Very Disappointed to learn that this facility is charging for a ride along. I was charged $25 for my wife to ride along on my cart.

My wife is a cancer patient who can no longer play but enjoys riding along to watch us play; I was made to feel like I was trying to get away with something when told to pay the $25 ride along fee by your staff. I did not protest and paid the fee, but not the best customer service experience and your staff could use training on how to tactfully communicate the fee requirement to your customers. A very disappointing experience.

The course was in great shape for being the end of the season. Everybody there so friendly and helpful front the bag boys, Marshall’s to the waitresses at the bar.

The course was in fantastic condition! The greens were some of the purest I have played anywhere in the country. We were the first group out so of course the pace was great - just over 3 hour round. I much prefer the drive outside of town to play this course rather than wasting money on an overpriced Scottsdale track. The staff was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Great hang out area before and after the round. They just added the #minidunes short course so that will be on the list next time we are out here. This course is a must play while visiting the PHX area!

Course is very nice. Unfortunately, we had slow play and could not finish. But course is always great to play, if you can get a decent rate.

I play the course once a year. I would recommend the course to everyone. I really enjoy the layout. It is playable for all levels. PGA should have a tournament at this location.

The moment you drive on to the property you know this golf facility is going to be special! From the bag drop area right to the service on the patio the experience at southern dunes was exceptional. What a fantastic golf experience!
