Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
One worth playing!
Course was in excellent shape compared to allot of other courses they water this one well- very green and awesome views of the valley and the golf holes
GREAT COURSE
We like the diversity of the course architecture,
every hole presents different challenges.
Great layout, lousy conditions
Have played here before, and really liked it. But disappointed w. grass conditions. Greens were shaggy, fairways (both rye in the middle, bermuda on the edges) were in bad shape. Would have been OK if the course had discounted the price, but they were asking $130/rd, and the conditions were NOT worth it.
Beautiful views even if you are having a bad game
Beautiful course, nice practice facility. Enjoy it every time.
Great Golf Course
I've been coming down to Scottsdale for Spring Break for the the last five years and been playing different golf courses. This was the first time I played Eagle Mountain. I have to say it's now one of my favorities. The course was in excellent condition. It was challenging, but fair and had some memorable holes. I liked this course as much as Troon. I would highly recommend to the serious golfer a great experience.
Lots of Potential
The course was well laid out and had beautiful views. The practice facilities were quite nice as was the clubhouse. The disappointing part was the condition of the fairways, which were pretty beat up and gouged. Also surprising were the greens, very hard such that they never held shots, even those hit well and right on target. Lots of potential but only a fair value for the money in present condition.
Great Internet course
The course hired a great company to do the Internet site....they did a great job air brushing the dead spots out of every hole. The rough was horrible...pretty much dead or sand. The greens were great.
Not Bad
I enjoyed the course. The clubhouse staff could not have been more friendly and made me feel like i was a valued customer. I did get a little annoyed with the ranger that kept reminding us to stay right behind the group in front of us when we were waiting on the on every hole.
The course itself was very nice. I found the greens to be a little on the slow side and very difficult.
All and all I will recommend this course to others. Happy I played but I'll keep experimenting with other courses in the area before going back.
Eagle mountain success
This is a great layout , have played here two times before but the course was in much better shape the other tImes we played here. Not sure if this is due to the drought in the SW.
Greens were in good shape but off the fairway into the rough there was no grass.
MA
A fun day...
Heard great things about Eagle Mountain and figured I had to try it out for myself. The views of the valley from many of the tee boxes were spectacular and there's beautiful homes everywhere, though at no point do you feel that they are even remotely in play. Condition was a little disappointing. It hadn't rained in weeks but the fairways were soaked throughout the course (a couple drives actually plugged in the fairways) and they have done a lot of patch jobs on fairways. Not worth full rate but I got it at the last minute on Golfnow for a good rate and it was definitely worth that.
Beautiful course
Very challenging course but also very fair. Each and hole is very different, beautiful views, and fabulous surroundings. Must be in good shape to walk up and down to greens. Course was undergoing some fairway repair but not a real issue.
Course
This a wonderful track with beautiful sights and course conditions. Recommending it for the passionate golfer.
Should be sloped higher..difficult greens
very scenic, very important to keep your ball below the hole on the greens, difficult walks up and down severe slopes to get to greens, it is really hard to score well on this course first time around..to score well you need to seriously manage the course and your game. Fun to play once....would not want to play it as my home course
A course with great features.
This is a very enjoyable course to play. Really good condition from tees to undulating greens. Most fairways are forgiving to play and still challenging at times. Staff was friendly and curtious, pace of play was no problem. Great views all around and thru out the course. A variety of wild life is a big plus to the enjoyment of playing this course.
Scenic area
Scenic Very enjoyable, scenic round of golf. Will definitely play again.
Morning wind is a regular condition
I really liked the course overall. The morning wind was unexpected and is apparently common, making the course even tougher. The greens were slower and less receptive than expected for a course of this quality. Overall I think it compares well to other courses in the area.
This course is very fun!
I was paired with a very nice couple and I was the only one playing and my husband just accompanied me in the cart as my caddie. We enjoyed our outing so much here in paradise! We had a gorgeous course and scenery to look at and a number one day weather wise! fun!
GREAT COURSE
What a beautiful course. Some great views and some really cool holes. Everything here is top notch from the bag attendants to the starter and rangers to the cart gal. Play is slower than normal due to the walking up and down hillsides to and from some of the greens, hence the 5 hour round, but if you are out for a relaxing day on a beautiful course I would highly recommend Eagle Mountain. Also a great value if booked on GolfNow.
The course has elevation changes
The course was in good shape . We played in just over four hours
Not Again
We had not played this course in several years. After playing, we remembered why....
The pace of play of terrible. The other cart finally said something to a marshal, but did not solve the issue.
The course was built around a housing development; thus not walkable. Your are walking down and up some very steep slopes to the green.
