Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
This course is in good shape
Played yesterday, got on earlier than tee time, had my own cart, course is clearly marked and I enjoyed the guy I was hooked up with. The green were a little slow but this was understandable considering overseeding
Challenging
Course was ion great shape considering overseeding
Great course. Unfriendly staff.
We we're excited to play and shocked at the same time. Course was great but our experience with everyone EXCEPT the two girls in the bar Sunday morning - was horrible. A bunch of arrogant boys with unnecessary attitudes.
Houses come into play; be warned.
Overall the course is good. Unfortunately, we were playing shortly after over-seeding, so the greens were terribly slow. The scenery was great; however, if your drive is not always down the middle you may not have trouble finding a large window for your ball to go through. Although I was fortunate enough not to inflict property damage, I could see how this could happen quite easily on this course. Carts didn't have GPS which was a bummer; although sprinkler heads were all well marked.
I'll try something different next time we're in town.
Great scenery, and forgiving.
The only issue was the greens, they were super long and felt like you were putting on a carpet.
Early in season
Overseeding was completed but was about 80% up to par. Course is excellent when 100%. Still it was a great course.
You should probably play here
Absolutely spectacular views, elevation changes and the largest saguaro cacti you have ever seen. Fair course, the ball tends to kick back towards the center of the hole but if it is is the desert good luck. Conditions are a bit short of pristine but the price reflects that. My only complaints is that houses are built a bit too close to the course for my liking. 4 1/2 stars
to early open
I now the course in better chap but the green fee
for the condition was to high
Beautiful views and lots of small wildlife
Very nice course with great views from the many elevated tees. The course was just over seeded but still in very good shape. As a mid level hackers we found the course moderate to challenging. Most holes were wide open and accommodating to a wide variety of shots. A few holes were challenging with tee shots over rocks and desert areas. Greens were slow but in good shape. Very enjoyable course.
Great views
Each hole is unique and very easy on the eyes. Some beautiful views. I would come back again!
GREAT COURSE, WIDE FAIRWAYS AND GREAT VIEWS
One of my favorite courses. Lots of elevation changes and large greens. Low to mid handy caps will enjoy playing here.
Great views and very interesting track. We will be back.
Great track excellent views! Good value for the price. We plan to return.
Course in excellent condition and service was timely and efficient
A good challenge for all levels, greens are undulating and tricky. I wouldn't recommend Eagle Mtn for older players with any type of handicap, the hillyness is everywhere and walking up and down was a challenge for my older friends. Pace of play was way too slow.
One of my favorite Phoenix area courses for view, play and challenge.
Beautiful course, challenging for my handicap (shot 102), played as a single with a enjoyable threesome again, seems I always get paired with enjoyable players here. Phoenix has many great golf courses, but this course has to be one of my top 6 courses for scenic views.
Great Course, Great Value
I've played this course many times and it has always delivered a great experience.
Challenging but fair.
Love the elevation changes which provides challenge and great views.
Great Day
Played on a Sunday with my wife, niece, and her friend. Although they weren't frequent players, the course layout was great for them to not lose a ton of balls. The condition was great, some patches in the fairways where sod had replaced dead areas, and the greens were in good shape.
Overall, the coarse was great, scenery was fantastic, and value at $53 each was wonderful. This is definitely one of the most picturesque courses in the Phoenix area.
very scenic
Overall a very enjoyable experience. The fairways are a bit beat up but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the course.
Eagle mountain was good..
eagle mountain course was good but it was so challenging and tough course... when i play golf it was frist time.. but all the time i got up and down. and fast greens. and i saw many trap....
although, eagle mountain is tough course if you want challenging course you must be go this course i would like nominate Eaagle mountain.... anyway it was awesome course....
Tough from the rough
Thick rough made the play challenging compared to other courses. The greens were also hard to read. Fairways had some bare spots with some ground under repair however it wasn't horrible. Just be aware that it isn't going to be a pristine fairway. The fairways are good overall and not sure how much this has changed since I played after reading a comment below mine. Everything else was great about the place and would go again. Pricing was also reasonable while other courses have started to increase for the peak season in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
