Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Great course. Makes you use all of your clubs.
Excellent golf for the money. The chilled towels were a blessing.
Great course; beautiful setting
Eagle Mountain has so many spectacular holes with a variety of views, some in canyons, some with panoramic views of the valley, all worthy of a framed photograph. While taking in the beauty of the natural surroundings, there is also some great golf holes to take on. This is a challenging course. With the tee placements our group played, there were no easy putts and the greens are usually protected with two or more bunkers. As could be expected in a mountain course, there are numerous elevation changes and many challenging shots to take. If you don't bring your "A" game, beware: this course can be quite penal. The staff are great; very professional and well organized. Course conditions were good for mid-summer, though I find the thick bermuda rough to be quite penal. Nonetheless, I consider Eagle Mountain to be one of the best courses in the Phoenix area.
The course was good
There are so many courses to play that are in just as good a shape as Eagle Mountain and cost less. The course was in ok shape and the staff was very friendly, we were able to tee off early and completed our round in about 3 1/2 hours. Overall experience was good.
Awesome Course
Great condition, challenging, awesome views, nice greens but they were a little slow
One of the best
Eagle Mountain is a golf experience. Lots of canyon, but very playable. Course is great shape. Some areas of the fairways were a little thin, but that's expected in the middle of Phoenix summers. Worth the trip.
Wonderful course! Always fun to play!
The course was in great condition with an unbeatable price. If you can withstand the heat, this is the deal of the summer so far!
Fantastic views
If your looking to take guests to a scenic course, don't look any further. Super friendly cart personnel and Dale, the starter was very kind and let us tee off almost an hr early. Challenging course and with sloped fairways and greens make you rethink what club your hitting. Fairways had some minor issues just like any other course out there right now... Can not beat these mt. views... Awesome course, awesome people...lots of water to drink as well as beverage cart...A must play course!
Great track, well maintained
Course was in great shape, played in less than 3 hours
Great Mountain Views
Great course for the money off peak season..... although there were plenty of yardage markers would have liked GPS on the carts... course was in great shape and a good challenge would reccomend and play again! Thnx

beautiful course
This is one of my favorite courses, and was very affordable with GolfNow.
From tee to green it's the 2nd best we have played in the past 2 weeks, sand traps were perfect, my only complaint would be the speed of the greens was a lot slower than any others.
Fun course
Played with my wife, really enjoyed our round from start to finish. Complimentary Titleist club rental if you stayed at the Inn. Overall condition was very good, the greens were excellent. Enjoyed the views of the valley, pace of play, and the service. Club house is positioned on hill with a great outdoor patio with views to die for and a nice breakfast. Course staff provided cold towels on hole 12, nice touch. Highly recommend you play this course.
Go for the houses
Course was in decent shape. You can see they actively keep up on the conditions as there were areas with new sod, areas roped off and some spot watering going on throughout the course.Tee to green was overall very nice. We played on a very windy day that made the course even more challenging. Pace was good. The only issue we encountered was that the bag staff failed to secure a bag to the cart and it fell off just shortly after pulling away from the bag drop area which resulted in a broken driver. They stood behind it and replaced the shaft. If you want a course with spectacular views, thias one is in the running, although the views are man made. Many of the houses lining the course are of theextremely large variety. Most people couldn't afford the landscaping, nver mind the building itself.
Good course, plenty of challenge.
staff was friendly and helpful. it was a very windy day, so it's not fair to judge the course, as it was difficult conditions.
Good da
Good course, and pretty forgiving when getting back into the game.

Great golf course! Magnificent surroundings!
I enjoyed the greens! and the sand traps which are challenging!
Enjoyed the course and the scenery
enjoyed the course and the scenery. The staff was very friendly. Club house warned us that they only had one cart that day and said we might want to take a drink out, which we appreciated. Other reviews said course not in good condition, but it was fine to us, with a few areas that needed maintenance. The only issue I had was the hills, having to park the cart and walk up and down them. But, the exercise was needed in my case! Would definitely golf there again.
Still Fountain Hill's Best Track...
Eagle Mountain is consistently on most snowbirds' list of "must plays in the Valley". This was my second go-around the hills, great sights, and undulating fairways and greens of Eagle Mountain and my first as a permanent resident in the Valley. As soon as I stepped up to the first tee, my memory card on this course kicked into high gear. The vast majority of holes were in great shape from tee to green. The tee boxes were cut very well with only a few bearing that "overplayed" look. A few fairways were burnt out in patches and one or two greens were in a bit of repair but these were minor blemishes on what is a fantastic layout. Eagle Mountain offers lots of variety. Long and short Par 3s and Par 4s with 3 out of the 4 Par 5s offering true scoring chances. For the price ($75 from GolfNow), playing this course was a steal. It may not be on the level of a Troon North, We-Ko-Pa or Southern Dunes but it can't be beat if you're looking for both awe-inspiring Valley sights and a well-manicured and vacation-worthy 18 hole experience.
Bad conditions
The Fairway have Many places who was repair and many brown spots -the greens are not good - i played the cource
many years, but neyer was to bad-
This moeny was there chargedis much to high - you can found much better places for this value.
Nice layout. Pretty views.
Not sure why the Ranger was on us to speed up. We played in under 4 hours and didnt see the group behind us after the 4th hole. I appreciate fast play so I am glad they éven push the groups that are ahead of pace.
First Impressions Need Work
We arrived at Eagle Mountain for a Thursday 12:36 tee time approximately an hour early allowing for stretching, range time and putting practice. To our dismay, there were no carts available. We waited 20 minutes for carts to come off the course. This puts the staff in a bad spot at Eagle Mountain. The practice facility is not in close proximity to the clubhouse. At some courses, not having a cart available immediately wouldn't be a big deal, but at Eagle Mountain it is. Management needs to increase their inventory of carts in high season.
The course itself is pretty and affords incredible views in all directions. The course condition was favorable, but not in premium condition.
