Enjoyable round.
Fun course. Never had to wait for anyone nor did we hold anyone. Greens were a little slow but maybe just time of year. Otherwise course was in great shape. Only complaints were they did not inform when booking the driving range was shut down and they charged $12 for parking. Maybe I might have gotten a pass at pro shop but no one informed me.
Greens slow, pace of play even slower!
Called the golf after 1 1/2 holes, group in front were SO SLOW , granted it was cart part only, but come on, they were lollygagging to their ball and back to the cart!!
No one came, by the 5th hole a par 3 there were 3 groups, (behind us were a group of 4 ladies) on one hole, again I called, nothing happened. Even the cart lady, now on hole 8th commented on this group, saying there was a huge gap in front of them. She even called the pro shop!
So the pace of play sucked, nothing was addressed, it took us 5 hrs to play, and soured our mode about golfing and the golf course. Greens were shaggy and very slow. Not worth the price or the 5 hour round. Too bad, sad :(
Worried about time
Not too impressed for the manicure of the course given the price. Also, club house very concerned about speed of play which made for a very frustrating round. There was never anyone waiting on us but the marshall was with us every step of the way. Even asked us to skip a hole when no one was behind us. Very annoying.
Played mcdowell mountain the next day and course condition was much like what i expected and no marshal even asked us to hurry up even though course was busy.
Course Conditions
The Faldo course was in very good condition considering the long stretch of extremely hot weather.
Never Dissapoints
Wildfire is well managed and maintained from arrival to departure. the outside staff is particularly helpful and friendly
Stacking up the birdies
Good time today at the Wildfire Palmer course. A special shoutout to Davey Two Ball for making 2 consecutive birdies on hole 5 and 6. Also, birding the 5th hole 2 times in a row in consecutive rounds 🏆🏆
Pace of play
Golf course was amazing! Only down side of it being a solo golfer was catching a group of 4 on hole 6 who wouldn't let me pass. Thought maybe there would be a marshall driving around to keep everyone up with pace of play but there wasn't. What should of been a 2 1/2 maybe 3 hour round turned into a 4 1/2 round just because I was waiting on every hole. Other than that, course was amazing, the greens and fairways were amazing and would definitely play here again.
Top Notch Course and Staff
I really enjoyed my time at Wildfire Faldo course. I came on a Saturday at 12:15. They allowed me to play as a single since the course wasn’t too busy. The practice facility and staff were great before teeing off. The course itself is in great shape and challenging with so many bunkers to avoid. I didn’t catch anyone until the 8th hole and was able to pass them on 10. The marshall said he should give me a speeding ticket since I was 40 minutes ahead of pace after the front 9. Overall the round took 3 hours and was a great experience. Will be back in the future.
nice
Price was because of the Phoenix summer heat.
Course in great shape
Was over 100 degress but over cast made play okay
Regular rate i'm sure is a lot more than the 40 I paid
