Lots and lots of sand. Fairways and greens very well defended by sand. Plenty of room in fairways but errant shots likely to go in sand and potentially into desert scrub.lots of sand!

Greens very fast and subtle .

Staff very efficient and friendly. Expensive round $265.

Sucks you have to pay to park (if free the staff failed to communicate this...)

I live in the area so I play golf at different courses. This is my first time to play here. The course is not in good enough condition for the price they are charging. I do feel it be worth that rate if the bunkers had sand , if the greens were in better shape, if there wasn’t dead grass around the greens. Everyone was friendly and it has the potential to be a great course.

Great day of golf on this course. The fairways & greens were in good shape. Great staff & course layout. I’ll definitely be playing this one again.

Great course and layout. My complaint is that they have so many concrete bunkers. This course is completely designed around bunkers, really cool to look at and play off but they don’t have any sand thy are hard as a rock and deep. For what the charge these bunkers should be maintained more frequently. Other than that it’s a great golf course and really well conditioned. If I was going back just due to the bunker conditions play th Palmer every time.

I have played this course several times and it’s a big layout, well conditioned and a great value. Some courses in the Scottsdale area that are not as nice as this one charge twice as much. This might not have the big fancy name but it’s a must play course when in the area.

The course was in great condition and the Faldo course is a challenging track. I didn’t have even my C+ game so it was a tough day for scoring. Still, sunny and 80 degrees made it nearly perfect.

Conditions were very good ( only comment sand traps were “hard” not very sandy)!

What resort has no restaurant open at the course? Everything was on the cart, which is unacceptable for the price. The lady in the cart was amazing, she made our day very pleasant! Course was good, silly they wouldn't pair members and guests to keep pace of play. No marshall to keep pace, we played around a group 2 holes behind. Overall, there are way too many courses in the area with a nicer staff, more amenities, and better layout.

181 bunkers. Phenomenal course in incredible shape. Really enjoyed the Faldo course design - challenging yet accessible. Pretty wide fairways, true greens, lots of bunkers with good sand. Excited to play it again

Overall always great, challenging layout. When we played, they had just come off cart path only… Supposedly… But when we teed off, we had no idea we were going to be cart path only for the day. It made for an extremely tiring round of golf. But, pro shop staff and bag drop was great. Everything was lush, but the fairways were very very long, bunkers had no sand and were caked to hardpan, and the rough was so long that it was unplayable. And the tee boxes were long and in rough shape. Greens were very slow and not well cut. You expect a lot more out of this resort and today was not it. Was fairly disappointing for what should be a Premier track.
