About JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

Historic JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn dates back to 1936 and is set on 125 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain. This 425-room and suite property in a pueblo-style features a spa, tennis courts, heated outdoor pools, garden terraces and desert hiking trails. Camelback Golf Club features two 18-hole courses, the Padre (designed by Arthur Hills) and Ambiente (by Dana Fry and Jason Straka). In addition to these championship courses, there is also a small pitch 'n putt golf course onsite. Dining is highlighted by Lincoln Steakhouse & Bar, while Rita's Cantina & Bar is more casual with a southwest flair. Spa and poolside dining is also available. The golf club has American cuisine at Acacia. Spacious guest rooms feature outdoor living spaces and kitchenettes. Onsite car rental is available as well as 127,500 square feet of meeting space is available for large groups.

Cart path only. Winter rye is pretty grown in. A little wet in places but great greens and good bunkers.

Starter needs to get a clue

Not normally one to review but I do enjoy playing here but when you show up to the first tee and the starter gives your time away it kind of ruins your day….and that’s what happened. Stater gave my time away and then treated me like he did nothing…guys in the shop were friendly and confused even offering to pay for my next round. Unfortunately I won’t be back. Hire better people!!

Awesome!

This course was amazing! A great course and the value on my tee time was outstanding! Considering the cost of a membership here, this deal could not be beat. The only reason conditions aren’t 5 stars is the time of year. It’s in peak overseed time and it’s still incredibly maintained! Absolutely worth it!

Really nice.

Great views with the mountains in the background. Very playable course. Not terribly long but did use most all the clubs in our bag. Condition was as good as I’ve played on. Really smooth greens with good speed. Pace of play for us was awesome as not many other patrons on this day. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would play again.
