JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa

I have now played Starr Pass 4 times. I believe it is a must play course whenever you are in Tucson. I enjoy the conditions (nice fairways and greens-fast). It is a "target" type course. It helps to hit the fairways or risk losing your ball in the desert. My course handicap was 11 and I play from the silver tees (Slope 128). I always enjoy playing here. And, it you're short on time the Coyote 9 holes is always an option to get in a 2 hour or little over round.

This is a great course, they need a ranger though, as one group held up play at 5plus hour pace and was never approached by staff Otherwise great value.

Love this course. Normally pace is good, but after a 2 hr first nine, things slowed down and 2nd nine took 2.5 hrs

I like the course. The greens roll so nice and the views are beautiful. The course is difficult for average or below golfers. The Roadrunner 9 is much easier than Rattler.

If I played the course again I think I would get the hang of it but the first time is a tester.

Eddie the starter is the man. 17 years at his job. We were paired up with a great twosome yesterday and the pace was excellent. Course (all of it) was in excellent condition.

Everything was great except pace of play. . Didn't get to play the last hole because they wanted the cart back. And we had to wait on the group ahead. Need a Marshall.

Tough and beautiful shotmaker layout. Challenges everywhere. Good to pay attention to everything if you’ve not played before. We had an experienced partner in our four.

Great food and drinks following

We played on 3-22-22. We had a reservation scheduled for the day before through GolfNow bout cancelled it and scheduled it for the following day due to the forecasted 40 mile per hour winds.

Instead of receiving a refund, GolfNow provided voucher codes to use in the future. What a joke.

Upon arriving at the course, the computer system was down and we could not check in? We were asked to come back to the clubhouse after the round and settle up.

They had one beverage service person to cover the 27 hole layout. And to finish things off, the restaurant was closed, so we went elsewhere to have dinner after our round. Now you may understand why I have this review the subject title.
