Usually pace of play is good here. However, we made it thru hole 15 and were at 4 hours. Waited every hole. We quit after 15 holes and when we commented on the slow play at cart return, the reply was “ma’am this is a resort course, it’s always slow”. We let them know that has not been our experience, and again, he said “it’s always slow.”Instead of 3 people hanging out at cart return, there should be a ranger out there.

What an excellent experience. Tough course, but well thought out and an excellent staff.

The Rattler 9 holes has a lot of target holes. Tough to get over. But over all the fairways, tees and greens in very good shape. Traps not so much.

Pace was slow but was due to the men we were paired with. A ranger would have been helpful. Drink cart came around once in 18 holes.

But over all a very good time!

This course offers beautiful views, plays at a pleasant pace, and is a great value compared to the higher prices that other courses charge in the area.

The great: beautiful elevated tee boxes, wide fairways, excellent conditions, true-rolling greens, inspiring desert+mountain scenery.

Carts feature a GPS to help you figure out the right shots, and the beverage cart come around often.

Where your mileage may vary: this course is not beginner-friendly, with most holes carrying over an obstacle on the tee shot, on the approach to the green, or more often than not, both. You've been warned!

If that doesn't scare you, go ahead and enjoy the course, it's definitely worth it!

Starr Pass plays in the hills and offers tremendous views from several holes. Course is in very good condition. Lots of carries over desert from the tees and at times for shots into greens making this course a challenge for many golfers and difficult for the high handicap golfer.
