About Legacy Golf Resort

Legacy Golf Resort, operated by Shell Holidays, is located just south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This resort features the 18-hole Legacy Golf Club, designed by Gary Panks and home to a full practice facility and golf instruction and academy. The resort features 328 suites set in a Spanish mission-style theme and units feature either kitchens or kitchenettes, washer-dryers, patios or balconies and large living areas. There is an outdoor pool with cabanas and an outdoor bar, tennis courts, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, BBQ area and children's playground. Dining is available at the golf club.

Nice layout greens iffy

Greens were punched a few weeks ago and haven't fully recovered yet. otherwise good and will go back.

Course layout was pretty good. Fairways had lots of dead (brown) areas. Might be due to the heat. Had to move the ball quite a bit to find grass to hit from. Greens were slow and had been punched not long along. Was looking forward to playing the course but left quite disappointed due to the conditions. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very dry

Always a great layout . The grass had a lot of dead spots and the bunkers are hard as a rock. It they can find a way to file the bunkers this would be one of the best public course in the Valley.

Fun to play

Had a great time. Course is in good condition, greens are a little tricky, staying out of the 4ft bunkers helps the scorecard. Driving range interrupts a couple fairways.

Starting show summer wear & tear

Played the Legacy after reading the reviews. I was slightly disappointed. Would I play it again, maybe, only saying maybe because of ALL the other options in the Valley. I might play it again this summer, however probably not for $50. Course is in decent shape. It’s starting to show the wear & tear from play in the AZ summer & the heat is starting to stress the fairways. Several fairways are starting to get burned up & bare grass. Tee boxes are somewhat ok and greens are in decent shape. It doesn’t appear they have areated yet.
