Great Course!
This is a great course for the beginner and intermediate golfer. More advanced golfers may also find it challenging. Many of the fairways are not as wide as many 6000-7000+ yard courses. So you better hit the ball fairly straight down the fairway. Also a great place to work on your short game. The price is also reasonable for this time of the year, the condition of the course is good to excellent, and the staff is friendly. The sand is a bit hard in several bunkers so be careful or your ball may get away from you if you hit it to hard. Pace of play can be slow during more crowded times of the day. My golf buddy and I play at this course nearly once a week.
Not a course for the avid golfer
This par three course has great views of the north side of Camelback Mountain, The look of the course at first is very impressive. the greens are like cart paths. super hard and very fast. the bunkers have NO sand in it. They will not hold any shot. I would not recommend this course unless you are a beginner. I drove over thirty minutes to have a terrible experience.
Closing down
No bev cart, was easy to tell that they were in closing mode
Get Sharp on a Par Three
An interesting challenge for a e par three. Accuracy required to play well.
Great course for beginners
My husband and son and I golfed here and really enjoyed the course and our day. The course was in really good condition and was perfect for my son and I who are just starting to golf. My husband enjoyed working more on his short game. It was perfect for all three of us.
Always Fun!
Never had a bad day at Mountain Shadows. About to have a complete makeover and hope to play again in 2017. Play it now while you can. No better executive course in the country.
A short course but a fun course!
Short does not mean that it isn't challenging! The course was in good shape, the price was reasonable, and the people we played with were great! We didn't spend any time waiting on the tee boxes, which was great. It was a very pleasant experience. I'd go back and play again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, the course will be closing in June for revamping.
Fun executive course
My wife and I played this course recently and had the same fun experience that we did last year. Mountain Shadows is a great par three course(with a couple par 4 holes). The staff, both in the clubhouse and outside were great, very friendly and informative. Course was somewhat easy but in good shape. Fun course for young and old.
This is a well conditioned challenging executive course
It is good value with a friendly and accommodating staff.
We rode due to partner's requirements but it's an easy walk.
Very nice course!
Played this course with three girlfriends as our warm up round during our week long golf trip. Lovely course with beautiful views and well maintained. Service was excellent and pace of play was great - less than three hours to play. Would definitely return!
Challenging short course
Overall a great course with very fast greens. Only two holes that you will use your driver. Chipping and putting will be the theme of the round. Thanks
Excellent Executive Course
Well maintained course, with some challenging par 3's. Nice facility with pleasant staff.
Good value if you can get a green fee for under $40.
Gem!
what a beautiful little course. Great scenery, great staff, good food and good greens. Only negative is the small sign at the entrance making it a little hard to spot as the course is hidden from view by landscaping . Definitely going back.
A nice public city course
Arrived and had a great check in. No problems, a little surprised that they charged $8 for a bag of range balls. No driver or woods short range. just short irons. Let on time on #1. Pace of play slow but steady, what you would expect on a Sunday on Public course. Refreshment cart came around frequently and the girl was friendly.
fun and appealing
great course for snow birds and older retired folks..
Type of course
The course was nice, but no where did it indicate it was a par 3 course. We were disappointed when we got there it was a par 3 course.
Best Executive play in ARIZONA
I play here several times a year and enjoy it for several reasons. The scenery is spectacular, the coarse is in great condition and it is fun, fun, fun. This coarse has really helped my short game and made me a better golfer.
Not worth the money!
The staff skipped us in favor of members. We booked a tee time and people (members) with later tee times went ahead of us.
snubbed
Three of us drove over from Apache Junction to play the course. We had a 12:10 tee time and were advised by the inside staff that they had made up the frost delay and were back on time. While we waited the starters conspired to move later scheduled groups ahead of us. We got our money back and had a great afternoon of golf at Starfire which I would highly recommend.
Simply amazing course
The course the staff the condition ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
