Unfortunately
The course was not ready for play, especially at the price point. Very disappointing that no mention was made that the green were in very poor shape
Don’t waste your money!
Unfortunately this course was terrible.
Fairways had little to no grass. Greens were all sand and no grass. Pace of play was 5 hours! Allowed a 5 some to play! Ranger was not concerned with slow play/no play.
No regard for appropriate dress code. Girl in sports bra and biker shorts playing.
Will not play ever again. And neither will all the groups we spent most of our days waiting with.
Greens were NOT good
This location is centrally located in Scottsdale very close to everything. However, I would not play this course again during this time of the year due to the greens being in poor poor condition they had several of the greens that were sanded. We had a small discount about 10% in the pro shop off of our green fee due to the green conditions however, the greens were like putting on shag carpet Very disappointed in the way the greens looked compared to the entire course. The course is relatively flat not much in the fairways, but the greens themselves had a little bit of front to back elevation. Not much ululation at all however it was in a nice area pro shop. Staff was nice. The bar grill staff was nice. The cart girl was very super friendly and helpful and the snack shop had a good variety nice little driving range nice little putting area and chipping area. Beware of the starter. He is a grumpy. Old man kind of funny because he didn’t say a whole lot but if you happen to have your tee time incorrect, he would make sure you were told what your tee-time was, read that in other reviews
Sand on greens
Greens on this course are not playable. 1/2 of the greens were covered in sand the other half should have been covered with sand .
No one said a word before teeing off , Pro shop , cart guys & starter. That was the biggest disappointment.
Worst experience in golf ever
It’s hard to find a place to start. This course should be shut down. Greens were to worst I’ve ever played. Grass seed on dirt on over half of the greens. Bumps galore and even older holes marks were now smooth. Some up some down.
Fairways were bad and rough was bare. They haven’t done any landscaping in years.
Not what you expect for a $150 round.
The round lasted over 5 hours with an on time 12:52 tee time. 8 minutes is not enough time between starts. The flags were all white so you had no idea on many holes where the pins were located.
The staff was friendly. I would have talked to someone but the pro shop was closed when we finished.
Ranger showed up once and didn’t care. Excuse was it was a full course. We saw an open hole and a group in front of us said they saw a 5 some playing.
The group in front of us (couples) said they would never play here again. And the group behind us (senior golfers) echoed the same thing. They come every year to AZ and tried a new course. Worst course they had ever seen.
At the end of the day I feel like these people robbed us. Took our money with a nice friendly smile on their face.
I would give this course a zero for a rating not a 1 star.
A little disappointed
Sadly it was a slow with 2.5 hrs on the front. Often had 3 groups on a hole. Picked up a little in the back overall 4'40" round.
Course was still in rough shape. Needs more time. A few of the greens had more sand than grass. Had to invoke a 2 putt max rule. Several others did not roll true. Probably haven't rolled these greens yet. Maybe we should have received an early season discount. Would've made me happier.
I like the layout with wide and forgiving fairways.
Staff Amazing, greens were not.
Staff at this course is always very genuine and courteous. Greens on several holes were in pretty rough shape as you can see from the photo.
Greens are bad
1/3 of the greens were covered in sand , the the other greens needed to be covered in sand and shutdown so they can recover. No warning when booking and no explanation in the proshop .
Don’t bother playing here.
Bad faith.
Not providing an upfront declaration of the poor condition of the greens is disappointing. Brutal mistake.
Stay away
Total rip off. Greens miserable. Tee boxes were in rough shape and not level.
Never Again
For the price and time of year, I would have expected a bit more. Greens were slow, 5 of them still had sand and seed. The other greens had a lot of fungus or insect damage. Fairways had not been watered in awhile. It was barely worth the price on an absolutely spectacular day.
Slow play
The course was advertised on Golf Now as full access it WAS not it was CPO. False advertising by golf now. This the third time this week Golf now had false advertising. Golf Now is a terrible site. The pace was slower than heck. Had bunch of clowns playing in front of us playing best ball. They shouldn’t have been allowed on the course. They wanted to party more the play golf. The course should have kicked them. The course was in Average condition not anything exceptional.
What's up with these greens
What is the deal with these splotchy sandy greens???? Slow, bumpy, sandy, not great. Uneven Tee boxes as well.
With these greens can't really recommend for anyone trying to put up a decent score.
Saw a lot of high handicappers just peppering people's backyards and rooftops, so that was cool.
