Awful Greens
Fairways ok, bunkers had great sand, greens were terrible!
Not worth it!
Pace of play very poor. Even the ranger apologized.. the greens are in terrible condition. Goose droppings are ridiculous.
Bad greens
The greens had some kind of fungus, making the surface very slow and bumpy. They're going to have a hard time fixing it.
Poor course conditions and greens awful
The course was over watered. Standing water everywhere and balls would sink in some fairways. The greens had many dead sorts and are very rough
Bad greens
The greens were in really rough shape. The tee boxes as well. Not many flat tee boxes on course. Bunkers were good. Fairways were ok. I don’t think the over seed took very well.
Very nice course
The course was in pretty good shape, except for some of the greens having patched surfaces. Pace of play was good, no one pressing us and no waiting on players in front of us. Felt like we were the only ones on the course.
Some greens are spotty
I really have enjoyed my rounds at Orange Tree. The staff are great! Some of the greens look like they are under repair. I wish I would have seen that somewhere when I booked. The grass on a few greens was about 40 - 50% missing. Generally speaking otherwise the course was well maintained. Some wet spots on the tee boxes where sprinklers must have gone wild but I didn't count that against the maintenance team. I would recommend the course with the caveat about the greens.
It wasn’t me
Being my first time visiting this course, I feel like it was just bad timing. I look forward to playing the course again in the future and hopefully find it in better condition. A different time of year. There were a lot of dead spots in the fairway and the greens were certainly in need of a trim. It was like putting on shag carpet ( see title). Not to mention the dead spots and sandy patches in the middle of the putting surface. As a group we found ourselves frequently excusing each other’s putting as the ball rolled in Barry expected directions or came to a dead stop unexpectedly.
Bare Spots
Course has re-opened after over-seeding yet there were a lot of bare spots on the greens, tee boxes and fairways.
Tough Overseed
The greens were pretty bad from poor overseeing. The staff was very friendly and apologetic regarding the course conditions. Feel bad for them.
Nice layout
I like this course but the present conditions are less than average. It appears they have not done overseeding and there were lots of bare and muddy spots. The greens were especially bad. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. The carts were clean and well running. However, I wish they'd clean the windshields with Lemon Pledge! They are covered with water spots and you can't have the windshield up because you can't see then!
Greens were shockingly poor
One of my go to’s over my 30 years in the Valley. Sadly, after playing a round I will not be back. Greens were in the worst condition I have ever seen. For the $$ this time of year and the number of other options/places to play, I will go elsewhere.
Terrible conditions
We paid $124 to play and they should’ve charged $24. The greens were the worst I’ve ever played with dirt patches everywhere. Dead trees everywhere on the course and tee boxes that were uneven and pretty much just dirt. Don’t waste your money here.
fairways and greens terrible.
spend some $ on this course.
price should be $80 range for that mess.
Orange tree needs some work
It’s a decent course, not sure if the course is always this bad or because not enough time after seeding. Very rough greens hard to putt with all the bumps. I might try again later in the year
