Rough shape
Played here on Saturday and the course is in pretty rough shape. The tee boxes aren’t bad, but the fairways have limited to no grass and in some spots are borderline concrete. There were a couple nice greens that ran true with limited bumps. Most of the course seems to be almost under repair. Maybe give this one a couple months to recover.
Terrible condition,
Don't waste your time as nothing good about this course as it's in terrible condition and not worth the cost of a green fee.
Course in horrible shape
Complete renovation of the bunkers with tractor tire tracks in course. Course is now burnt up all so dry from heat
Ridiculous they they can charge to golf this construction site
Embarrassing for me to the person I brought to golf there
Good track
Always fun to play here. Friendly staff. Fairway a little bare in spots. Cart girl is hot.
Needs work
In transition. Tee boxes are bad course needs water BAD
Orange tree is a fun course!!!
I walked in the door of the clubhouse and was greeted by an enthusiastic upbeat young man who went out of his way to explain everything I needed to know since this was my first time here.
That guy understands customer service!
The practice range was decent and the starter friendly and helpful.
I really like the course layout. I like the trees and ponds and the lines I needed to take to the center of the fairways made sense to me.
Fair warning, there is there is some work being done the bunkers on one of the holes on the front nine. I am all for course maintenance and improvement so good for them. I hope this is part of an overall plan that continues.
There are some places with thin grass on a few fairways but they are watering and it is summer in the desert!
I will be back soon for more of this course!
Bunker's are still work in progress after 1 year...
The Sand Traps are under construction since over 1 year! The first 5 Greens have huge dead spots on the greens... Played the course many times the last years. This comes close to the worst conditions in the summer. Pace of play was great and I played well even the greens are bumpy.
Subpar
Course conditions don’t match up with the pricing. Summer rates should be more affordable and expectations will be lower.
Course conditions
Almost all the area around the greens were under repair, with loose grass, sand traps torn up by a tractor and some were wet. I wish I would have known I would have booked elsewhere.
Will never be back
Played this course many times. Never coming back again. They rob you of your money. Course conditions were subpar. Booked for 6:30 am and had my wife ride with me. They charged extra for her to ride along even though it was only us in the group. No one else booked for that time. So why would they charge extra? Idk. Hundred dollars to play this course is not worth it.
Worse than I Remeber
First time playing the course this season. The conditions were pretty bad for it being this early in the summer. Pace of play was horrendous. We have 6 groups stacked up waiting at the tee box at one point. The Marshall was no help and even asked my group to play quicker when we were waiting at the tee box for the group in front of us to get off the green on a par 3. Sand traps were “under construction” and were torn up all around the perimeter. I don’t remember the course being this bad and was honestly shocked at the conditions for the price. Will probably not be playing here again this season. Expected better from Orange Tree.
Fun Aged Traditional-Type Course Layout
This course has a traditional feel to it. My only complaint during my last round was the sand trap conditions, they could use some work. Other than that I recommend this course.
Overpriced for conditions
This course has good bones but conditions were poor. Dried out fairways with bare spots , several bunkers under construction repair, greens dead and bumpy. Booked 10 days in advance and paid $80 , 2 players who joined me said they paid $25 and $30 respectively. That pricing was more like what this course was worth. Felt like I was robbed. Played 3 other courses in Scottsdale and this was not even comparable. Will not play again!
