About Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort

The Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort is located in Phoenix, north of downtown and in easy access to the golf courses of Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale. It is an amenity of nextdoor Lookout Mountain Golf Club. The resort is set on over 400 acres and adjacent to North Mountain Park, which is home to outdoor activities. The hotel has 584 guest rooms including 28 suites up to 1200 square feet that come with a refrigerator and Hilton-brand Serenity bedding. There is a salon and spa as well as The Falls Village Phoenix Waterpark which has a 40-foot waterfall and 138-foot waterslide. There are four dining concepts highlighted by Different Pointe of View & Terrace Room Lounge, a AAA Four-Diamond restaurant. Lookout Mountain Golf Club opened in 1989 and was designed by Forrest Richardson. It has a full driving range and practice facility.

Course is very scenic and has some dramatic elevation. Greens almost impossible to read 1st time playing, but that's golf.

Lovely course and welcoming staff. Slow pace

The course is pretty short and relatively easy. Conditions are excellent and staff was very helpful and friendly. Pace was an issue as we waited almost every shot starting at 9.

Nice loop

Staff is great at greeting you and getting you set up on a cart. Course is few blocks away. Nice, casual practice area and range. The course was in great shape. Greens were brutally tough. Lots of undulations and humps. Cups were all cut on the tops of knolls or side hills. Additionally greens were fast AF. Putts had to be rolled in on pace to hold the line, meaning lots of 3-6’ come back putts if you miss. Tough scoring track unless the putter gets hot, but all in all it’s a nice loop.

No Sand Troon

Nice golf course.Nice layout. Real challenge.Great views from 9-10th holes. Forced carries were challenging.

Here's my beef-no sand in the traps. Rather difficult to hit a bounce club off blacktop. Disappointed in Troon and what I paid to play. Expected better conditions. Spend some money...
