Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort

This is the best course I've played in the Phoenix area. The greens and fairways are immaculate. You need to think off every tee box, I only hit maybe 5 drivers all day. There was a 45 minute frost delay and we were very disappointed that the pro shop didn't make more effort to inform us of this as it meant we didn't get 18 played but they did reduce the price by a few dollars and they felt it was an issue with golfnow rather than at their end.

Overall wouldn't let that detract from a super experience, would recommend to anyone.

Everything about this course is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The practice facility is groomed and includes range balls, chipping area and a putting green. The course is in great shape and is challenging but not so difficult you want to cry. The views from the elevated tee boxes are incredible. This is a course I will play again.

First five holes are fairly wide and flat. Next 13 are pretty targetty, with skinny fairways, long carries and sloped lies. Greens have al lot of slope so hit approaches below the hole. Four putts are common from above the hole especially on the short par number nine. Make sure you are right of the pin on that one. Coarse is fun if you have a lot of golf balls and like a challenge.

Course is in great shape and for the money, I highly recommend playing this course. Greens are fast and fair and the bunkers are well groomed as well...I should know, I played plenty in them. Fairways are also well manicured. Overall, for the money, this is a must play!

First time playing here and it was absolutely delightful. Great mixture of gettable/challenging holes and mix of strategy. Course conditions were pristine. Putting was tough (gotta be putting up hill). Some gorgeous views throughout. No point of playing big name courses with courses like this in the area. Not enough good things to say!! Go out there and have a time!!

Challenging course, fast greens, great scenery. Well maintained course, friendly staff. Will definitely play there again.

Had the opportunity to play with Josh Ward from Troon Golf. The course was great and learning about what Troon has to offer at the same time was a bonus.

Came down for a vacation and a friend recommended this course to me. Was in great shape and staff was fantastic! Will come back.

Outstanding condition, with super fairways and fast greens. Well managed operation. Great holes, with tremendous variety of challenge. Very good value overall. Good halfway house with fantastic views.

The thing I can say about this course is that about 80 percent of the holes look like signature holes it’s just amazing the layout of the holes and how they use the landscape to make a truly playable but beautiful course. And the conditions of the course is second to none.

Despite heavy rains 2 days before, the course was in excellent condition from tee to green with no standing water like many of the other area courses. Starter always does a great job keeping groups on time and pace of play was perfect for the first 13 holes then backed up as it always does on #14 and #15. Greens are fast but true if you know how to read them.

Extremely enjoyable round at a great price. Course is very well designed and makes you think. Would probably recommend playing it from the tips as it's not that long off the whites. Only hit driver about 6 times. One small gripe is that the bunkers could have a bit more sand. Otherwise excellent course and would happily play again.

Our foursome played six rounds on our recent trip to Phoenix and this was the consensus favourite. The weather was great and the course was in great condition. The starter was a lot of fun and got our round off to a good start. The diversity of the course is nice - some resort style, but mostly desert. All the holes are well laid out - no hokey ones, though there are a few bordered by houses. The views from the "summit" holes were awesome.

Every time we visit Phoenix, this course is on our list. Fell in love with the layout the first time we played so we keep coming back. The view from the signature 10th hole after a great hot dog at the turn is wonderful. Variety of clubs from tee boxes makes it very interesting. Well maintained and fast greens.
