About Quintero Golf Club

Quintero Golf Club, located about an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, is one of the most scenic golf courses in the Valley of the Sun. While generally a daily-fee course, it does have a small handful of casita rentals for stay-and-play packages. These casitas, located within the community's Entrada properties, feature two large bedrooms with full bathrooms each, and a private patio with the option for outdoor dining. The executive Loft has a large living area with pool table. Guests have access to the Quintero pool, jacuzzi and grilling area. Located in the Hieroglyphic Mountains, Quintero Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and is a popular pick for the best golf course in the valley. Within 15 minutes is the Lake Pleasant Marina and Scorpion Bay Marina.

Incredible!!!

There is no way you can accurately describe the beauty of this course, and pictures don’t do it justice. Staff was terrific; facilities were great! This course is very challenging but they have enough tee boxes to allow you to choose a length that won’t frustrate you too badly. Take a charging cord to make sure you have phone power for all the photos you’ll be taking.

Best Course on our trip!

We had a group of buddies travel to AZ for a golf trip and to watch the WM Open. This was our 4th course and did not disappoint. Course was in perfect shape and provided incredible views. Staff was above and beyond friendly from the start, and continued throughout the day. Far and away the best group we worked with. The layout is incredible, the condition was perfect, and the greens were top notch. We liked it so much we had to replay. The clubhouse isn't much, but the food is soo good. Would recommend and will come back.

Greens too fast for normal play- and our group are not bad golfers!

Was greeted by a less than friendly pro shop staff member who doubted I had adjusted our group number from 4 to 3- had to find the confirmation email to show proof- really??? After paying the exorbitant green fees ( and I have golfed at least 35 of the Top 100 courses in the world as per Golf Digest- so not adverse to paying for quality golf)- we found the course pretty, well conditioned - but greens were just too fast for normal recreational play (all golfers in this group were single digit handicappers) . Pin placements did not make sense being in very inaccessible places making the round too challenging for our liking with greens running at 12+ on stimp. Overall there are other courses for the price ie Troon North/ Wickenburg Ranch/ Wikopa- we would rather play- as we especially prefer to have the option to walk- nice course for scenery and elevation changes in desert if that is your thing but price prohibitive for a return visit and more professional staff at pro shop - especially at those fees- should be a priority..

AMAZING

This is truly one of the best golf courses in the entire Phoenix valley. The elevation change is unbelievable and makes for an exciting round of golf. I would highly recommending making the drive to the Q!

Greens too fast

This course is visually stunning from every angle, the fairways are pristine and bunkers are filled with luxurious sand that makes sand wedges work awesome, which is a good thing because there are a lot of bunkers! Right now I feel that the greens are mowed down too short, the stimp is 12 plus, for amateurs like myself this is frustrating. I love fast greens but these will not hold a ball even on a slight incline. I also feel this mowing to short has made the greens unhealthy looking with a lot of yellow blotches. They must be rolling the greens because they are incredibly smooth, sometimes. Ball will roll 30 feet after stopping 12 inches from the hole. In Early November the greens looked dark and healthy, I will be back when it gets a little warmer!

Beautiful Course

This should be top 5 course to play in AZ. I have played pretty much every course in AZ and that would be in my top 5. It tough to get the ball to stay on the greens because they are so fast, but just try and stay disciplined. The shape of the course is amazing and the views you get make everything worth it. I am a 4 handicap, shot an 89, and still had the best time enjoying Quintero!

Phenomenal

I think overall this is one of the best courses I've played on in my career. All greens rolled true, the fairways were excellent, and the fact it is a remote course with little to no distractions is even better.

Epic Birthday Round with the Boys!

If there is one Public Course in Arizona you have to play, Quintero is it! I am an avid golfer and try to play a different course every time. Having played just about every top public course in Arizona, Quintero is by far my favorite!

The staff is amazing! Very cordial, helpful, and even gave us some cookies before we teed off. The course was in immaculate condition! The course is tough but you can choose some easier tees if you aren't up for the challenge.

To anybody in AZ looking for a memorable place to golf, look no further than Quintero!!!! You won't be sorry!

Gem of the desert

Qunitero was far an away the nicest golf course I have played in Arizona. Beautiful fairways and greens. The layout was spectacular. The people running the course could not be nicer. It was a wonderful experience and I will go back in January 2020. I have played most of the best courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and this is superior to all. A must play for any golfer.

One of the best public in AZ

This course is an hour drive out of Phoenix, but well worth the trip. Absolutely gorgeous course in perfect condition. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes desert golf. Only issue would be no place for post round cocktail with a view.

Always a must-play course

Quintero is always a must play when in the Phoenix area. The layout is spectacular, the course is very peaceful and the staff is fantastic. The carts come fully equipped with GPS and ball+club washers, the holes are varied and fun, with lots of tee box options for all players.

Minor con: some teeboxes were damaged and/or not level, and a few greens were patchy.

But don't let that stop you, go and play Quintero!

One of the best in Arizona

I have played this course a number of times in recent years, this year twice in April ans October, each time the course was in perfect condition and always very challenging. The greens have been lightning fast, but true!

One of my favorite courses in Arizona

I have played here 6 or 7 times. It's a little bit out of the city but worth the drive. it has the best practice area I have seen in AZ. There are several high tees that drop off way down to the greens, beautiful views from every hole. One par 5 is long and uphill. It goes almost 90 degrees right and there is a huge wash on the right. I have seen many players think they could clear the tee shot to the fairway but almost all come up short in the wash. I Iove betting first time players they can't make it. You will not be disappointed if you play here.
