About Quintero Golf Club

Quintero Golf Club, located about an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, is one of the most scenic golf courses in the Valley of the Sun. While generally a daily-fee course, it does have a small handful of casita rentals for stay-and-play packages. These casitas, located within the community's Entrada properties, feature two large bedrooms with full bathrooms each, and a private patio with the option for outdoor dining. The executive Loft has a large living area with pool table. Guests have access to the Quintero pool, jacuzzi and grilling area. Located in the Hieroglyphic Mountains, Quintero Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and is a popular pick for the best golf course in the valley. Within 15 minutes is the Lake Pleasant Marina and Scorpion Bay Marina.

What a course

If you're crazy enough to challenge yourself on a mountain course, this is it. Beautiful layout, overwhelming scenery course. Dare Devil Par 3s. Everything was beautiful however, the course condition was not at it's best shape. Some greens have spotted grass. Overall it's beautiful. Will play again. Hopefully the greens are a better shape.

Great golf course layout in great condition. Ran over a rattler that came across the cart path at the wrong time. Post round bar closed at 6….a bit early since we did not finish until 6:15.

Coolest 18 in Phoenix/Scottsdale

Breathtaking landscape, Course layout is playable for average golfer, bunkers, greens and elevation changes will challenge any player. Lots of range in tee choice. Very helpful and attentive staff. Immaculate course and green conditions. Awesome and worth the drive.

Super Layout - Needs Some Help

Great layout and great staff but the course is overcharging. The tees for the par 3 holes were very poor and while that is a hazard of these lily pad tees I expect more for the $ they are charging. All of the greens were very thin and sparse of grass. The roll was okay but once again hard to justify the price they are charging. People are outstanding, practice area outstanding, and the fairways superb! The design is great until the par three holes are considered. Three are drop shots from extremely high elevation, I mean extremely high, which results in massive ball marks that pock mark the greens. They should hire marshals whose job is to make sure people repair their ball marks on the par three holes. Love the setting and the design but overpriced at this moment in time.

It's obviously a beautiful course and while it was plush, the bunkers we're awful. I was in way too many of them but all of them were void of sand and very hard. I've heard all the reasons why but for $400+, I expect there to be sand in the bunkers. I asked my foursome their opinion and we all agreed the bunkers were not playable.

Troon Golf at its best. Everyone there was helpful and glad to see me. The course is incredible. Little bit of an odd layout, but just a blast to play. Fantastic greens. Fast and true. It is a tough golf course. I played the Copper tees and it was still a 126 slope. Well worth it if you can snag a Hot Deal.

Beautiful layout

We loved this course, it’s way out in the desert with loads of interesting elevation and vistas. The conditions were excellent, the layout was challenging but not unfair, just a really great course that you would absolutely go back to, and you don’t mind paying exorbitant green fees.

Stay and Play

We had a great time staying and playing in the executive loft with the pool table. This would be a great room for 4 to stay and play a few rounds. The course is beautiful, in great shape, and off the beaten path so it feels exclusive and private. The flowing water on a few holes was gorgeously worked into the natural landscape and made for a beautiful hazard. Brian made sure our accommodations were comfortable and our golf was fun. The two things I would improve is tee time communication and the food on the course. There was a frost delay so our tee time was moved up, with the expectation that we would end up playing about the same time as our originally scheduled tee time. We got to the practice facility more than 1 hour ahead of our originally scheduled time, expecting we would have time to warm up. We were told people ahead of us didn’t show up and we were up next, with absolutely no time to warm up. I think this could have been communicated better. It would have been fine if we were told this would be our new tee time, we could have planned better and shown up earlier to warm up. The way it worked out, we unfortunately felt quite rushed when we thought we were showing up over an hour early. If we didn’t show up an hour early we could have missed our tee time completely because of the miscommunication. Again, the course is gorgeous though and worth the trip. My elbow was hurting and I didn’t play well, but we plan to come back injury free and enjoy the course more! The food on the course is quite lackluster, so if you are able to cook in the stay and play room that may be a better choice. Although, the corn hole, and resident donkey entertained us at the BBQ station!

Favorite Arizona golf experience

It’s always a great day when I play Quintero❣️

This is my favorite Arizona Golf Course . It compares with higher priced courses like Legends Trail.

Lots of elevation changes. Challenging and long. Beautiful desert saguaros everywhere, lush fairways and clear skies.

We had a slow group ahead of us us this time but despite the marshals warning before tee off on pace of play-nothing was done to speed them up,

Overall a great course❣️
