Quintero Golf Club
About Quintero Golf Club
Quintero Golf Club, located about an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, is one of the most scenic golf courses in the Valley of the Sun. While generally a daily-fee course, it does have a small handful of casita rentals for stay-and-play packages. These casitas, located within the community's Entrada properties, feature two large bedrooms with full bathrooms each, and a private patio with the option for outdoor dining. The executive Loft has a large living area with pool table. Guests have access to the Quintero pool, jacuzzi and grilling area. Located in the Hieroglyphic Mountains, Quintero Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and is a popular pick for the best golf course in the valley. Within 15 minutes is the Lake Pleasant Marina and Scorpion Bay Marina.Facts

BEST I'VE PLAYED IN PHOENIX AREA
Unbelievable course with unreal holes.....especially the Par 3s. Played almost all the Phoenix courses and in my opinion this is the best. Greens fast and smooth......incredible layout. Played Troon North this trip and The Boulders and TPC Scottsdale and they are all great but this is the best.
Overrated
If you don’t live close by, don’t play it. The staff is not the friendliest and they have many hidden fees for everything. Course was not in great shape, it was ok but not for the price. If you are in the area, there are many other courses better than Quintero and closer to town. TPC, Troon North, Wild Horse Pass, etc.
Spectacular!
Our Quintero golf experience was amazing. Course layout is top notch, helpful efficient staff, water and ice stations on the course. This is a course we will always remember playing and recommend to everyone.
Unbelievable Experience
I haven't played every great course throughout the country but this was hands down the best I have personally played. Everything is topnotch from the service, amenities and the course itself. Tee to green is picturesque and was in phenomenal condition. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
An AZ Gem
Simply the best in AZ! Great value in summer and inn excellent condition. Love those fairways!
Quintero Stay and Play
Last year we played Quintero and noticed these beautiful condos on the course. We found out they were for stay and play.. So we decided, when we wanted a few days to recharge we would try them. Brian handled the details and was stellar. Checking in was easy, the condos are great and spacious. They bring your carts to the condos so it is easy for the 5 minute drive up the mountain to the first tee. Let me tell you, this course is Amazing!!!! Hard but fair,do not get in the traps.(Really). Greens roll true, fairways in great shape, and jaw dropping beauty on every hole. About halfway through the round the ranger comes by with ice cold Mango infused towels to cool you off!!! As you drive back down after your round you are greated in perfect timing by the golf course personnel who have wLked to your condo to hand you and ice water and clean your clubs, just over the top!! From the starter to the Pro shop, to the grill and the facilities, you are treated like royalty.. We will be back, and our family from Michigan is coming back too!! Best course we have ever played, thank you!!!
A True Gem
A must play if you’re in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The course was in excellent condition. The greens were receptive but fast and fairways lush. You will not be disappointed.
Best Course in the State
I thoroughly enjoy courses that do NOT have homes lining every hole. Quintero is just a jewel cause its just you and nature while providing one of the best designed courses I have ever played on.
I cannot be here enough. Please keep up the great work and keeping it special.
Fantastic
Nothing but positive things to say about this course
Amazing!!!!!!
This course is simply amazing and the staff is equally amazing. The views are spectacular, greens are great and it’s a must play if you’re in the area.
Amazing Golf Course
I loved this place. Greens were just getting over being punched. Beautiful course.
Not Fair today ....bummed
I have played this course several times over the last few years as it is highly challenging and very fair. Paid $79 on June 17 (118 degrees) for my round today and although I love this course, I was highly disappointed in the greens as they had been aerated and sanded the previous week. When I made my tee time there was no message or warning the greens (the entire course fo that matter) had been aerated. Staff explained that Golfnow was aware and there was a message on the course web page, Went back to check Quintero's and Golfnow web sites and there was no indication the course was or had been aerated. I had to not only "arm twist" my friend to drive an extra hour to play this course, but after playing, I also offered to pay for his round. I understand maintenance on courses necessary, but my hope is course staff would be upfront on the current condition. For same price or less, we could driven half the distance to play Wildfire, Boulders, Kierland, TPC Champions, or another Troon course to have a similar golf experience. In a nutshell, the course and staff are typically rock solid, but $79 for June golf at any course should be pretty solid. Today, the course was worth $29 as there were way too many approach shots that splashed sand and 5' zig zag puts, UGH!!!!!!
Dissatisfied
I looked forward to playing Quintero because everybody raves about it. I wish somebody at Golf now or the course would’ve told us that they recently punched the greens. so they had these big holes and they were really sandy so our putts were bouncing around which made for a disappointing experience.
Staff tolerates drunk aggressive golfers
Frankly, staff does not care about golf environment. We were a little surprised (pleasantly) by policy of “don’t tee off on Par 4’s until group in front of you is on the green.” We then got hit into in the middle of the 12th fairway (par 4) and called staff to let them know. Talked to two different marshals. No one followed up. At end of round, group behind us pulled up to where bag crew were cleaning our clubs and were unapologetic and belligerent about what had happened. Staff did not care. Many groups on this course had music playing in their carts during the round. If you are going to care about dress code, outside food and drink, and charge $100+ per round, you need to act like a professionally managed course. Tell me that group behind us has been banned from the course and I’ll change my review.
Everything was perfect except the airrated greens.
