About Rancho de los Caballeros

Located in the historic western town of Wickenburg, Rancho de los Caballeros is a luxury dude ranch set on 20,000 Sonoran Desert acres that is open seasonally from October thru May. It offers stay-and-play golf packages with the next door Los Caballeros Golf Club, a past recipient of the Golf Advisor Golfer's Choice U.S. Top 50. Rancho de los Caballeros offers authentic ranch activities from hikes with a naturalist to skeet and trap shooting. Jeeps, ATVs, horseback riding and more are all available on the expansive property. The property has 67 guest rooms and 12 suites and offers meeting space and team-building programs. The Kids Club has western activities in the morning and at night and babysitting is also available. Wickenburg is located about an hour northwest of Phoenix-Scottsdale and is home to a small collection of excellent golf courses, including Los Caballeros and Wickenburg Ranch.

The course was outstanding! Brian in the Pro Shop said the course used to be for Members and Guests of the Ranch only. Sure glad they opened it up to the public.

A Beauty Indeed!

We golfed at 9:30 on a 100+ day and not surprisingly had the course pretty much to ourselves so were able to complete in just over 3 hours. It was in fantastic shape despite the unseasonably hot streak of late. This was our first time here and some of the holes required previous experience to determine the best aiming spots. The greens were generally elevated and ran fast and true. There was decent variety on the course and a number of hazards to watch out for.

We were too tired to have lunch there but the clubhouse is definitely 5 stars. We look forward to returning!

A nice surprise!

I was impressed with the casual, friendly atmosphere and great course condition. Lots of interesting holes and good views. Well worth the drive to Wickenburg. I didn't eat/drink there but has nice-looking facilities.

Great course

The course was really great. Greens are really, really fast. There’s also not much rough, so if you drive it slightly offline you’re probably ending up in the dessert.

Very difficult and expensive

Course is very challenging. We played it at half price brought Golf Now. The regular price is $120+. I don’t think the course is to that quality level. I would be very disappointed if we had paid full price.

No frills, but great golf course layout.

About an hour drive from the Valley, don’t expect paved cart paths, GPS on the carts, or a beverage cart on the course. But you can expect nice elevation changes, great course conditions form tee-to-green, and a good pace of play. I think it’s worth the drive this time of year when comparable courses in the Valley are charging between $150-$200. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. Perfect day.

Yes horses and golf can coexist on same ranch.

Love to cut down a few fairway trees along the way.

Treat yourself to a special day.
