Great course, pace of play was adequate. Some greens had a little damage. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! Was disappointed spending over $250 to play here that they didn’t even give you a couple bottles of water. Troon golf courses are premier but they are getting out of my budget! Overall course was great . Sorry for the 4 star, but fix the greens and I’ll ad another star.
Greens are ruff. The cost of Beer, Water, Drinks are way too high. The 2 we golfed didn’t buy anything. For the price your not worth it
Great course, overpriced
Had a good time, course is great, staff is great, 25% -35% overpriced for our market and the season
Expected more for the price
We were disappointed in the Boulders, greens were not in great shape, some were painted, for the price we paid to play this course we were expecting it to be in great condition. Pace of play was slow and group behind us kept hitting into us. They charge a 10% surcharge for water on top of the green fee.
No shortage of great views!
I couldn't have had a better day to play at the Boulders. The weather was perfect and the views were incredible. Enjoyed the day. One highlight was a rather large cat crossing the fairway behind us. Based on this cat sighting, I decided not to look for any lost balls!
Price to expensive. 2 drinks cost $36.00 Don’t get a drink if you have to. Wait. Wait
Great views
Nice practice area, rough perfect fast greens, very nice
Top Course
First time I played the Boulders course and I really enjoyed it. Even the rain on the day could not dampen my enthusiasm and enjoyment.
Nice course, but the new greens are ridiculous
The south course replaced their greens in the summer of 2022, and they are hard as rocks. No matter how much spin on a shot, it will not hold. Every shot runs through the greens. With the number of false fronts, hitting shots short is also not generally an option. Greens are also very shaggy, so you have the worst combination possible, hard and slow greens. the course layout is very nice, except for #17, which is a bit gimmicky. Difficult lay up and a long second over a gorge. Overall, terrific course, but just too difficult to play the greens right now.
Very slow greens
Amazing views and challenging layout. Also saw a lot of wildlife!
Great deal - had a blast
I got an excellent deal on the Golf now web site that made this round even more worth it.
The course was in great shape and super fun to play. Coming from Minnesota to Arizona for the first time, I don't have a lot to compare this course to, but it was exactly how i pictured dessert golf to be.
Challenging course - rock hard greens
This is a challenging course, but fair if you hit it straight. These were the hardest greens I've ever played on and is not what I would consider typical friendliness for a resort course. Also, the starter offered to read my putt on a hole which I found odd and unprofessional.
Fun Course
Played the South Course at The Boulders. The course is scenic with many elevation changes. The greens were nice albeit a little slow on this particular day. The driving range and practice putting green could use a little TLC. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I would definitely play here again.
SLOW play
Course was over packed. Several groups on all tees. Course was in good shape. Layout had several gimmick holes (par 4s with 200 yard landing areas, par 5 where you can't use driver, etc). Everyone was very polite and they did their best to keep things moving.
Boulders Golf
The beauty surrounding the course is magnificent. The course is in good shape but greens could be better. It’s a bit pricey for the golf but the views are worth it.
Pretty but, not worth $320+
In good shape, nice layout. Rock hard greens. 15$ for a Mick Ultra, seems excessive. More of a resort than I thought. Crowded, kind of a slow round. Nice people working there. But I can check it off my list.
