The Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale

I first read about this resort over 20 years ago in Golf magazine, and said to myself if I ever went to the desert Southwest, I wanted to play this course. My wife and I at the resort for a week had a great time. I played the course during that time. Yes, they were some dry spots and they’re reworking some of the tee boxes but the scenery was spectacular and overall the experience was exceptional. Practice area was is great shape!!

I will NOT another 20 years to come back….lol

Wasn't sure if we were playing golf or working on/in a construction site! Booked WITHOUT any notice of at least 6 tee boxes being renovated. Half of the time you could hear/see big equipment moving earth. Not conducive to playing a relaxed round of golf. Course was in god shape and plays tough with forced carries and some tight fairways, but I doubt I will trouble myself to play there again.

2 holes we were forced to tee off from the fairway. No sight lines.

If holes were altered, it should have been stated prior to the reservation.

This course is exceprional. It is a must play if you are in the area. It is a great place to take visiting friends, whether they play golf or not. The facilities are unequaled. If you aren’t delighted, it’s you and not The Boulders. Just joking, maybe.

Every club in you bag: a challenge from dog legs, dry washes, elevated greens and perfectly placed traps. Your mission is to enjoy the setting, and relax with everything from the cart girl to the clubhouse store, the experience was first class all around.

avoid, right now, tees moved up, aerated fairways, brown spots, wait until they remodel.

Overall I was happy playing the Boulders South course. It was a little challenging with the narrow fairways and some carries.

BUT, they recently punched the fairways and there were 2 holes with temporary tee boxes. I was hoping for a premium golf round but it was a good and not great.

I'd play here again after things are fixed up.

Overall had a good experience. Pace of play was awesome. Lay out of the course was pretty cool. Staff extremely helpful and kind. Conditions of the course weren’t the best. A lot of dead grass and could use some serious water but other than that we had a great time and would play again.

great course layout and staff is very good....practice green was about 11 on the meter, but greens on south course were closer to 8 and very grainy ...very difficult to putt them

fairways could use some water because of numerous dormant dry areas, but had a good time and enjoyed the course
