Great day of Golf
My course is closed (Wildfire at JW Desert Ridge. Got a very good rate through Golf Now. Course was in very good shape. Greens were excellent. They handled Covid. 19 requirements very well. Cart service available as was water and ice. Played the white tees at about 6,300 yards. I’m a six handicap at 69 years old. I played over 150 rounds last year. This is one of my favorite courses . We played the North course today, but either course is great to play. Occasionally in mid summer there are some course conditions but similar to most Valley courses. A little cooler at the Boulders than Phoenix.
Boulders South Course
I took a friend to play the South course at The Boulders today and we were so impressed with the beauty, the condition and the overall experience. One of the best courses I have played all winter/spring and I have played a lot.
SLOW PLAY
Slow play ruined the round. Beautiful to look at, but when you’re sitting and waiting on every shot the view gets old! They need to do something to speed up the pace of play here or it’s going to ruin the reputation.
Great course
If you are a low handicap player and want to experience true "Target golf", this course is for you. The course was in great condition and teeing off next to The Boulders on some holes makes for an unforgettable experience.
Covid 19 shut down the restaurants, but the service and facilities were top shelf
Fabulous layout and pace of play- great condition- will play again!
Good course. Rude staff
With all of the great courses in the Scottsdale area and the steep price they charge $179 afternoon rate even to resort guests you would think the staff would be nicer. Compare that
to Quintero (Less than $100) a course we played the next day and besides being a great course the staff was fantastic and couldn’t be nicer.
Save your money...play somewhere else.
FANTASTIC
This course was in amazing shape, and the pace of play was unbelievable. As a single, walking, I was about to play in 3 1/2 hours on the north course. This is a must play, and an enjoyable walk if you’re feeling up to it!
Great views and layout
We played the south course. Front 9 was camera worthy on every hole. Fantastic views. Must hit fairways. challenging from the blues. Got to see a bit of wildlife too. Great condition for early February. Loved it! Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful time
First class everything from staff, course, pro shop, restaurant. Would strongly recommend playing this course if you live or vacation in this area.
Wow awesome thanks
Go north and have great fun in Scottsdale ! We were a 5 a 12 and a 20 handicap and we had great fun from the white tee! Do it
Folks play her period!
Change of T time never caught the attention of` the pro giving me 2 times 40 mins apart
North course not as nice as South course
We had previously played the South course and absolutely loved it; this time we tried the North, on what was probably the coldest day ever in Arizona.
The overall layout is good and the holes are varied; however, we found the North course lacked the spectacular views of the South; it had less boulders, less elevated tees, less mountain views.
The course conditions were great considering the recent downpours, so Boulders is undoubtedly a top notch facility. We also saw more wildlife than the entire rest of the trip, with several deer, a lynx and a wild boar all showing up during our round.
Is Boulders a good choice of a course to play? Yes. But if you must choose, definitely go with the South course.
Golf course review
The nicest well kept course I have golfed at so far ! Excellent !

Wonderfull course and the weather was perfect. The stater was informative and very helpful.
Very scenic front nine and great condition
The Boulders South course is a tale of two nines when it comes the scenic value. The front nine is pretty stunning and lives up to its name with boulders all over the course. One of the most impressive views the the first green where you will see an amphitheater of boulders behind the green. The back nine is a little more pedestrian but still somewhat scenic. The course was in incredible condition but sadly it was carry path only. The practice facility was excellent as was the pro shop and restaurant. Playing this course from the correct tees will lead to a fun round as it is fairly forgiving. Hit it where the course tells you to and you’ll have a great time.
Beautiful course views
Had great time playing with 3 Australians who were super guys, I didn’t play great but kept up pace of play and we had a wonderful day, only bad thing was the guy in the pro shop didn’t honor my golf now price, said I owed $5 or $6 more bucks not to be petty but a deals a deal , the day rate was $199 (which was overpriced) and my golf now rate was $140, when I told him I had a coupon he said $140 is the lowest we’ll go which I said that’s fine that is my golf now price, but with tax and fees golf now was 155 and change and he said no we are 160 and change . Again don’t want to sign petty but a big resort like that shouldn’t cry over $5. I spent $16 on coffee and a muffin with tip so I’m not cheap.
