While The Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Scottsdale and Stonecreek Golf Club do not market themselves together as a golf resort, the course is just steps away from the front lobby. Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. Course in terrible condition
This is one of the worst golf courses I've played in years. There was trash all over the place, the fairways were pitted, and the rough was dirt with small patches of grass. The staff was very friendly, the marshalls very attentive, and the cart service very good, but again, the course conditions outside of the holes near the clubhouse were atrocious. I will never play this course again until a new grounds crew is hired and completely top dresses, revitalizes, reseeds, and replants nearly every hole on the course.
Overpriced and Slow
For the money not the best experience. Course allows the pace of play to be very slow allowing 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete the round. We were constantly waiting. No real views on the course, felt more like a lower level Florida public course.

Lots of water
There was good moisture the week before everything was green and the day we played weather was sunny and no wind Beautiful!

Golf and recycling facilities
Enough empty bottles and cans throughout the course to make you believe it’s a land fill. Course was a cow pasture and somehow they felt a 200.00 round was justified due to the Phoenix Open.

We experienced a very rare storm that week, and we are unfortunately in a wash for the city of Phoenix. We worked extensive hours to get our course into shape for our golfers, and are continuing that work as we move forward. nice course, two different hihes
Overall, the course was fun to play and in good shape. There is a tremendous difference between the nines as the back nine progresses up and arroyo and is quite challenging.

The back nine is more challenging. Conditions are OK, but not worth $100+ fees.

Needs work, but has a lot of potential
Fairways and greens were in good shape, but everything else was really rough. We were told that the flooding was tough on the course, but that could not have been the reason for all the weeds, mud, etc. We had a deal for 9 holes and the meal was included. The ladies in the restaurant were super nice and the food was excellent. All in all, not bad.

Course needs some work
The course isn't great. Staff was great unless you are in a hurry to get food at the turn. Lots of trash on the course, bricks in the way, lack of grass in many areas. The greens were nice, fairways decent but everything else needs a lot of work.

solid track in good condition tee to green

Enjoyed only playing 9 holes
Thought I had booked 18 on a HotDeal. It was only for 9. Started on 10 and it was a fun thing to do.

Slow play
They need a ranger on the course. The 3 guys in front of us on jan 17 said they were new to golf but hit from the tips and hit 2 balls off the tee on nearly every hole.
The starter spread people out well, we started on time and didn't go off until the group in front was on the par 4 green. But the first hole was the only one we didn't wait on. It was a v frustrating round and I won't go back, at least not for a long while.

What a rudely staffed dump
After being met with vacant stares upon our arrival, we were quickly scolded by a geenskeeper to hit range balls off a mat instead of turf, with no signs indicating that was the rule, and plenty of divots in the turf. Subsequently we were greeted with trash strewn fairway edges and a homeless encampment. Go anywhere else..

It's a budget course
There's ~15 other courses within 15 minutes, but you can't play ~12 of them for under $100. Several don't have the water hazards that Stonecreek has. For a budget course, it serves its purpose.
The tee boxes aren't in great condition - 15 was full of divots and dirt/sand. The rough is very patchy, although some spots had decent rough (holes 1-2, 8). Greens were average speed, people need to do a better job repairing ball marks and cleaning up in the sand. Decent amount of sand in the bunkers.
There's some challenge here. Lots of slopes around the greens. 4 holes with water on one side of the green. Front 9 took the driver out of your hands - didn't hit driver until hole 7. Many holes are tree-lined on the right side - if you slice you will lose balls.
No cart GPS, no water provided, no range balls provided, range is mat only. Range didn't seem very large, only about 15-20 stalls. No ball cleaners on the course. No towels provided. QR code didn't work for the grill at the turn.
The course is built on a wash, integrated with neighborhood walking paths. You will see a dozen people walking dogs, biking, exercising on the course. There's a bunch of trash in the ravine between holes 7-9. Tons of duck/goose poop on the 14th fairway.

Good detail on the course and our amenities that we can absolutely work towards improving moving forward. We do provide 2 water bottles in the coolers of all our carts, and are on grass for the range Friday - Sunday. We did stay off the grass to start this year due to the heavy frost we experienced to protect our grass in the long run which I do apologize for on this inconvenience.

Great course but not the cleanest
This is a great course - we played in Jan during a cold stint. The negative that I wanted to mentioned was that there was a lot of trash all along the course. The most concerning part was the homeless people in the woods in the CENTER of the course - not the outskirts. I would think that the center of the course, nestled in between apartments and homes, would be more controlled. There were several times I had to give up on a ball cause it wasn’t safe to try to look for it,
