Summer in Phoenix
Course was a little rough, but it is summer in Phoenix, so unless you are playing one of the top courses, conditions will be a little rough. Overall, it was a fun round and a great value for the money. Looking forward to playing in season.
Punched greens
I love it when I show up for a prepaid tee time and the staff informs me that only the back 9 is open and the greens have been recently punched. They will be a little bumpy he said 😂. There was standing water on most of the fairways that I assume was from watering the night before. The only redeeming aspect is that I finished my 9 in just over an hour. $45 that should have $4 or $5. It would be helpful if these pro shops would update the information in golf now. This one has an update from November 2025. 🤡
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that your experience did not meet expectations. We understand the frustration of arriving for a prepaid tee time and finding conditions different than anticipated. We strive to communicate course maintenance and operational updates as clearly as possible and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will review our procedures to ensure guests have the most current information available when booking. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
Thank you for the 4-star review. We hope to see you back out at Stonecreek again soon!
Thank you for the 5 star review. We look forward to seeing you out at Stonecreek again soon.

Course Needs Work
While the course layout was good, the course conditions were average at best. I play public courses in the Chicago all the time and this course is not in as good as shape as those. We played in early May here and I can say the courses I have played back home put this course to shame. They need to improve the turf here desperately and the greens were not good either.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
We understand your concerns regarding course conditions. This time of year in Arizona, we are in the seasonal transition from winter ryegrass to summer bermudagrass. During this process, the ryegrass naturally declines while the bermuda is still establishing, which can result in thinner turf conditions for a period of time.
This transition has been accelerated by some unseasonably warm weather we've been experiencing since mid March, but we are actively managing the process and expect continued improvement as the bermuda fully takes hold.
Again we appreciate your feedback. Thank you for playing Stonecreek.
Thank you for the 4-star review. We hope to see you back out at Stonecreek soon!
Thank you for the 4 star review and playing here with us.

Greens could be a little smoother but they rolled okay.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your round at Stonecreek Golf Club.
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the course, the staff, and felt it was a good value overall. We also appreciate your note on the greens. While they are rolling consistently, we are continuing to work on additional smoothing and refinement to improve the overall putting surface experience.
We appreciate you playing with us and hope to see you back again soon.
Way over priced for conditions and service
Was in Scottsdale for a boys golf trip and since the first three rounds were a tie, we had to pick a course for a tie breaker. We chose this place and regretted it about 5 holes in when we saw most tee boxes were torn up and anything except the center of fairway was dirt instead of grass. The bunkers were medium to poor and the staff member at pro shop wasn’t too friendly or helpful. The snack cart and restaurant/cafe staff were very friendly.
Definitely not worth $140/player with tax and fees. This course is worth about $70/player.
Has potential and neat layouts but course conditions were very poor.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback about your round at Stonecreek Golf Club. I appreciate you laying everything out clearly, and I’m sorry the experience didn’t match what you were hoping for especially on a trip with your group.
I’m glad to hear the snack cart and restaurant teams stood out positively, but I also want to acknowledge your concerns around course conditions and your experience in the pro shop. That’s not the standard we aim to deliver, and I will be addressing both service consistency and communication directly with the team.
On the course conditions, I do want to provide a bit of context around what you experienced. We are currently in a focused agronomic recovery period, and a key factor impacting conditions has been the unseasonably warm stretch of weather we’ve had since the middle of March. Those temps have accelerated our transition from overseeded grass to our summer bermuda grasses.
Because of that, our current priorities are centered around specific playing corridors of the course those core tee-to-green areas that most influence playability and player experience. Within those corridors, we are focusing on:
*Restoring high-traffic tee boxes
*Consistent turf coverage in primary fairway landing zones
*Improving bunker consistency and playability
*Protecting and strengthening approaches and green surrounds
*Supporting overall conditioning consistency through heavy-play periods
We are also continuing to work closely on pace of play standards and ensuring a more consistent guest service experience from arrival through completion of the round.
We absolutely understand your perspective on value, and while pricing reflects broader the Scottsdale/Phoenix market, we recognize that conditioning and overall experience must align with that expectation every time a guest plays.
We appreciate you giving us a chance during your trip. We hope that the next time you are in town that would you give us another chance. Again we appreciate your feedback as it can only make us better.
Course a Bit Odd
Found the course to not have a straight up hole. A lot of odd turns in the layout and cart parking far from the holes. Not overly challenging per se, because no long holes even from the tips and with some wind. Not in bad condition though, so that was good. More water and ditches than most courses I've played around Phoenix, which was frustrating. Sand was in good condition and not hard to get out of overall.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate the detail you provided.
I understand your comments regarding the layout. Stonecreek does have a more unique routing with a number of turns.
I’m glad to hear the course conditions and bunkers met your expectations. We also understand that the water features and wash areas can present challenges, particularly with the wind, but they are part of the course’s design and character.
Thank you again for the honest feedback. It’s always helpful as we continue to evaluate the overall experience.
Thank you for your rating, chefbigjon. We appreciate your support and are always looking for ways to enhance our offerings. Your input is valuable to us, and we hope to provide you with a better experience next time.
Thank you for your 3-star review. We look forward to seeing you back out at Stonecreek again soon!
Great challenging course
I thought the course was a perfect blend of wide fairways but bunkers and obstacles to make it a challenge
One recommendation. Is to have the hole layout on the scorecard so golfers know how the hole layout is set up. All in all. A great experience ce.
Thank you for your fantastic review, edge9094! We're thrilled you enjoyed the course's design. Your suggestion for including hole layouts on the scorecard is appreciated and will be considered for future improvements. We look forward to welcoming you back for another great round!
This may have been my worst experience on a golf course.
We quit after 10 holes. There was a wait on every shot after the 3rd hole. It took 31/2 hours to that point. We were told they had two bachelorette parties and many of golfers first time. It would have taken at least 6 plus hours if we finished.
Greens were in poor shape!
Never will play here again…wasted a beautiful day on this crap!
Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating that must have been.
Pace of play is a major focus for us, and what you described is not the standard we aim to deliver. There are times where a high number of newer golfers or group play can impact flow, but our team is responsible for managing that and keeping the course moving. We will be addressing this with our staff to ensure better control and consistency.
I also appreciate your comments on the greens. We are actively working to improve conditions, including continued focus on maintenance practices and player awareness around ball mark repair.
We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve the overall experience.
