About Tubac Golf Resort & Spa

Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is located south of Tucson in Southern Arizona on the historic, 500-acre Otero Ranch dating to 1789. This resort dating back to 1959 features 27 holes of golf, spa, tennis and year-round swimming in an intimate village setting with 98 guest rooms and casitas. The property underwent a significant renovation in 2008 which included the addition of a new spa and salon, clubhouse and 17th-century mission-style chapel. There are 52 haciendas, 20 casitas and 27 spacious posada rooms. There is 2,700 square feet of conference space. The resort is famous for being used as a location for the filming of the movie Tin Cup.

mediocre value

typical desert course. Some greens spotty. plenty of bird poop throughout and occasionally cattle poop on course. layout sometimes gimmicky. I live in Santa Fe and am very familiar with desert courses. Not enough contrasts. Good $40 course.

Disappointed

This course is always in pristine condition and I was disappointed with it this year. Not sure what the problem is, but they closed Rancho to let it heal. Maybe lack of good old rain has hurt it. If you pay full price, there are better values around. Sorry for the bad review, but not up to normal expectations.

Fun time

My son and I were joined by a close family friend. We had a great time enjoying the views the wildlife and some great shots. Lots of ducks. Probably here for winter. Liked seeing them around the course but they need a lesson not to poo on the greens. We’ll be back. Can’t wait to try Rancho.

Friendly staff
