Tubac
The staff is very friendly and the course was in pretty good shape.
Tubac in July
Course was disappointing, tee boxes and fairways were spotty at best. Sand traps had not been raked and were crusty.
However, greens were in good condition.
If this was the first time I had played there I would hesitate to return.
A disappointment for a usually great course
Have played this course probably 30-40 times over the past ten years, and have considered it one of my favorites. A big disappointment this time. Many bare spots in the fairways, some tee boxes not mowed and some of the greens with bare spots. It's been about a year since I last played, and could not believe the difference. True we are in the summer Monsoon season, but so are the other local courses, and they are not in this bad of shape. I hope it turns around because the course is usually beautiful.
Best golf course
The best golf course of southern Arizona, tin cup Movie was film here!
it was slow play.
Staffs were very friendly. The pace of playing was very slow.
Fabulous Day!
I took my 2 daughters from Calgary to play the “Tin Cup” course today. The course was great, the staff was very accommodating and the weather was perfect. Stables Lounge was a wonderful “19th hole” venue! Lots of character. Just a great day.
Tubac, Az
My friend Wally and I had a great time this am, first time Wally has played the course and thought it was an easy course until we played that is!! Recent monsoon activity has the staff scrambling , lots of flooded areas and tree branches down! But they are doing a great job. We met our wives for lunch and the girls shopped while We played. Win, Win! Did I say the price was super low thanks to Golf Now and Tubac. Thanks everyone for our fun round of great gold, Pat and Wally
the fairways not much grass greens had a lot of places with no grass the worst I have seen it in years
Too hot for golf today!
Temp today is 108, so okay that course was dry and hard. All things considered for southern AZ, it's normal. No drinkable water on course, but staff provides it before, mid-point, and after. Course reminds me alot like Eastern courses. Almost every hole is just straight. A little boring vs most courses out here. But still enjoyed the course and had a nice day.
Great course
Tubac has 3 nines, and all are beautiful and moderately challenging without being punitive. The fairways were a tad dry, but that's to be expected in Arizona in the summer. Added attractions are the occasional horse or cow grazing in the rough. This is the course where they filmed "Tin Cup." It's one of my favorites.
Great Course, finally played Otero since 2008
Course always great but exceptional because we got to play Otero. Staff is great, then had lunch n drinks at Stables. Carney Asada tacos are to die for
Needs work
Course as a whole in not good shape. Greens need a lot of work. The worse I've seen it in a long time.
Tubac Golf Resort was in transition from winter grass to summer grass. Greens were punched with lots of sand making putting an impossible. I think they should have closed the course for a week until it was playable. They have 3 -9 holes courses to choose from. My foursome wasn’t impressed with the condition of the course, might play later but not anytime soon.
This is a very nice course
It was a great day, specially because I made a hole in one by Otero hole 3 , 170 yds iron 8
Tubac
Ranchero nine holes just re-opened from aeration. Still sandy on the greens. Back nine Otero mowed very close perhaps getting for aeration. Play was good because not many on the course. Price was so-so considering the conditions.
This is the course where Roy lost a bet and lost his car in the Movie Tin Cup. The Rancho 9, which was where some of the movie was filmed, was closed when I played. It is a challenging layout from the back tees. 8 and 9 on the Otero 9 are two difficult holes. The resort is very nice - lots of amenities.
