5 hour round
Great course but needs marshals, not one nor two but three groups of six golfers playing one hole. Average time to play is 3:45- 4 hrs...not anymore 5 plus hours to play in 95 degree plus weather. 6 people per hole should never be even thought of in such a nice golf resort. Maybe a low cost muni in a big city but not when you have only a few choices in the area.
Fairways need work, some fairways don’t have grass
Tubac
Nice golf course layout. Course was in good shape. Need to pay attention to signs for next hole to get around. The greens are a nice speed.
Fun!
I love this course. It always seems to be in good shape. Challenging. Personnel were very friendly and accommodating. Great day of golf!
Great shape!
Played the Otero and Anza courses mid-week, the greens were fantastic - smooth and soft, and we played in under 4 hours. Absolutely great value on a Hot Deal.
Slow
The play was extremely slow. Over 5 hours for the round. There was no ranger to move the slow players. The only but was that it was 4th of July.
No water on the course
This is a nice resort course with 27 holes. 9 we played were fantastic and the other 9 the greens were not near as good or same as the 9 we played. Too bad or would have rated higher. And absolutely zero water coolers on any of the 27 holes. Maybe they do that to make money on drinks, BUT when 4 months of the year are 95-100 degrees you need coolers on the course. Better hope no heat stroke out there or they are getting sued! Beautiful area, staff a bit put out that they must assist you, but overall one of our favorite 2 courses in the area.
Still fun to play but it’s seen better days.
I’ve played Tubac many times. Played Otero and Rancho 9’s. Otero and Rancho were in good shape but I’ve seen it in better shape. Greens were good but some showed signs of wear and tear. For the price, the value wasn’t great but it was still fun to play. Tubac is also cooler than green valley or Tucson . We teed off at 1:10 pm and the heat was not an issue and finished in 3.5 hours.
Course Conditions
Fairway’s need work ! Greens are not consistent very from fast to slow ! Glad I played at a reduced rate !
you must play
so beautiful--wonderful surroundings--wonderful to see the cattle and see the very calming areas--fun courses--to me this is a must play for anyone who has never played--it can have a challenge for us seniors but still fun
