Great day
Had a 630am tee time. Played by myself was able to take my time not another group out until 45 min later. Finished in LESS than 3 hours. The snowbirds are gone so more availability AND prices are going down..can't beat that combination!!
Great pace of play
The rough is very patchy which makes for some very difficult lies. The greens are fast and difficult especially if you’re above the hole. Excellent pace of play made it a very enjoyable round.
Jack
Nice course for a quick 9. Good layout. Good condition. Enjoyed the day.
Leisurely
Nice wide open course with great fairways and greens
Inconsistent Greens
Last time I played here has the same issue although they were shaggy greens & inconsistent this time cut tight. Some were lightening fast & pin placement complicated the issue unnecessarily. They are not watering them properly bc I think only has to fix one ball mark all day. $40 is too much for what you get here.
Disappointing 9 hole course
Should’ve done more research before I booked a tee time, very underwhelming. Didn’t even really feel like I was playing a round of golf. Felt like upgraded mini golf.
Viewpoint Golf Course Round of Golf
Course was in pretty good shape. A lot of geese on the course made it messy around the water hazards. Good course. Course website still talked about a shotgun start for every at 1 pm. That had stopped on March 22nd. The way I read it, I had a 12:30 tee time but we would have a shotgun start at 1. Good thing I got there early. All in it was quite good for the price. Unfortunately, like all courses in Metro Phoenix, it is grossly overpriced. A Golf Now hot deal would be the only way I'd play it.
Ranger
The ranger was a jerk. Our group was moving as fast as we could, at a good pace following the group ahead. The Ranger stopped us and told us to go faster because the group behind us had " big hitters" hitting 250 yard drives. We hit before the group was on the green and then, because we were told to move faster, we caught up to the group ahead and had to wait for them to tee off! The ranger followed us for 3 holes. We told him that we'd let the group behind us to play thru...he said "that's not how we do things". Seems to me that's good golf etiquette.
Nice course, except for the ranger
Our foursome was targeted by the ranger for not moving fast enough. However, the group ahead of us was playing at our pace, we teed off when they were on the green, the group ahead of them was teeing off on their next hole, and the group behind us was just getting to the green. The ranger followed us for the next 3 holes, which was unecessary and put pressure on us to "hurry up". We did, but caught up with the group ahead of us and waited while they were getting ready to tee off on the next 2 holes. Golf isn't a hurry up" game, rather it's played at a comfortable pace.
Good Shape!
Shotgun starts are done so we were paired with two fun gentlemen and completed in a little over 4hrs, perfect pace! Couple tee boxes for ladies were a little bare but overall the course was in pretty good shape. Bunkers could use real sand. Staff was nice and accommodating! We like to play this course especially now the prices are coming down for us full time AZ residents.
nice course, hard to get a tee time and getting pricey
nice course, hard to get a tee time and getting pricey.
Pro shop is getting friendlier.
Cart guys could be more customer friendly.
Shotgun starts are always a bit chaotic.
Nice executive
Other than an elderly couple slowing us down it was a good experience. Fat Willys is a nice diner after 9 holes.
