About
The Viewpoint Golf Resort offers both a championship course as well as an executive golf course. The Championship Course provides a fair test of skill of golfers of any skill level with generous, rolling fairways lined with trees and some greens that are severely sloped from back to front. With numerous sand bunkers and water hazards that come into play in the form of three lakes and a small creek, the course definitely makes strategic shot-making a priority. The course also provides a scenic atmosphere for the game with panoramic mountain views and cascading waterfalls throughout. Viewpoint Golf Resort's Championship course is easy to walk and there are four sets of tees for a variety of different golfing options.

HOT & HUMID..
Friendly proshop staff and starter. Few players and course was in decent shape. Very warm and humid. Ice water at pro shop in cup to take..GOOD IDEA. Water on course and clean rest rooms. Will return, hopefully when it is a little cooler.
Terrible shape.
Fairways and greens as bad as any course I have played in years. Something really bad must have happened to this course and there owners. Only really positive things was the on course bathrooms and the new water stations.
Nice property
Trees are healthy, grass is suffering from the heat, but a nice course for the money, pretty, friendly, not crowded, has all the amenities, range, chipping, short course, bar and restaurant, good quality carts and very walkable too.
Normally a good track
Normally a good track for the $. The fairways have taken a beating and the greens are less than good, putt and pray. Much of the fairways have no grass at all.
Viewpoint
Not to bad of shape for mid June. It is starting to dry out though.
Viewpoint Golf Course rating
Started later than usual for this time of year (7.22 am), pace of play was less than 4 hours. Fairways were spotty, lots of dead areas with no grass. Greens were not what I expected. Dried out areas with little grass on at least 1/3rd of the greens made for very fast greens. No cart girl to be found which definitely would have been utilized. Don't know why the greens throughout the valley are so different from course to course. To date, Painted Mountain has the best greens to be found.
Golfing Viewpoint
Greens are as fast as they can get.Nice layout. This course does not look or feel like a desert course.

Course was in terrible shape, I won't play there again anytime soon..Ugh!
Not great, but I’ve played worse
Course was not in good shape. Must be drying out for upcoming punch/over-seeding. Greens were hard and pins were placed in some “goofy golf” locations. Greens were also not clean grass. Weeds and balding spots happening. Recommend this course when it’s in better shape. Even at $40 for a 2:30pm+ tee time, it’s overpriced for the current conditions.
Disappointing
Gotta admit, they got guts charging $60 for this course. Greens are patchy and bumpy. Severe slopes and putting off patches of packed dirt make putting ridiculously difficult and inconsistent. Bunkers are hard and poorly manicured (if at all). No beverage cart. For $60 in May in AZ, I expect much much better. Won’t bother playing here again.
