They call it viewpoint, you get some good views for sure! Photo submitted by danaswanson808 on 12/14/2019
We paid for an 18 Hole game. We teed off around 3:15 PM . We only got 11 holes in before we had to turn cart in due to 6:00 cart curfew. Just be aware that if you have a late tee time you may not get all your holes in.
6:00 cart return
I would have given 4 stars+ except for the 6:00 cart return rule which was exasperated by slow pace of play on the front 9. We had a 3:15 tee time so getting 18 holes in wasn't feasible. But I did think maybe 15 or 16 holes. The open golf players caught the regulars around the 3rd hole. Pace of play was painfully slow for the rest of the front nine. On the back 9 pace of play was good. We got 3 holes in by the 6:00 cart return policy. We probably could have gotten 2 or 3 more holes in before dark.
Sooo slow
The course is in good shape and the fast greens adds to the challenge but the pace was painfully slow..it ruins the round. We had an afternoon tee time and at the turn we couldn’t replenish our refreshments because pro shop was closed and the bar wouldn’t sell beers to go. That added to the frustration. Not an enjoyable round and won’t be back.
Good for the money
Course was in decent shape. Greens putted well.
Old Scholl golf course. Wasn’t happy about shotgun start, but people were friendly, actually had fun. Fairways were in great shape.
If it wasn’t so far, I’d actually ply there again.
Forgiving course
I always enjoy viewpoint between the sloped in fairways and hard pan it is very forgiving. The were a couple of bottle necks. right now the are doing shotgun starts. I walk it as the holes are together. Definitely one of my favorite courses.
Great Course
Great Course in great condition. I would play again and would recommend.
Shotgun start?
Booked 11:39 t time on GN. Arrived at course at 11:00 to check in and was told that it was converted to a 1:00 pm shotgun start. Pro shop blamed it on GN. Too late to cancel based on 11:39 t time without losing my prepaid fee so I had to eat it and play in what I considered a “group outing” without the free beer. I payed for a prime t time and received a twilight start.
BEWARE of this course! They treat GN players poorly. I have noticed this attitude at other courses and I keeping thinking if they don’t like GN players why do they offer t times on GN? This course took it to the extreme. From the pro shop to the starters and rangers just not GN friendly.
