OK course to practice on
We tried Viewpoint for the first time since it was our first time out golfing in a few months ... it was fine for that purpose (ie getting back into golfing) since it was fairly easy and cheap). The pace of play was quite slow .... it seemed like the groups weren't spaced out enough. The restaurant is very good and the beer is nice and cold! The other course there (I think it's 18?) looked nicer.
A very pleasant round
Played in a foursome at mid-morning. Played in just under four hours. Pace was very good for Arizona this time of year. Tee boxes in good shape. Fairways a bit thin but acceptable. Greens were VERY fast with severe sloping. But greens were very consistent. All in all a very nice round if golf
Good job maintenance crew
Good job maintenance crew
This course for being way overplayed was in really nice shape. Probably the best shape I’ve ever seen it this time of year. One of my favorites for the money
Pace of play, rude staff
When I booked my t-time it wasn't disclosed that they had a shotgun start and staff behind the counter(man) as well as the player service couldn't be any ruder! I played 5 holes in 2.5 hours and gave up and left. Tee boxes were getting doubled up and didn't forsee any relief. Won't be back!
Challenging greens
It was unusual to see tall majestic trees throughout the golf course. The course itself is aesthetically very nice. The rough was a bit straggly. The course plays more like. a long course. The greens are gigantic and impossible to read.
The staff people were all unfriendly. Very curt and not at all helpful. This includes staff inside the pro shop and outside.
Also, we had no idea when we made our tee time that we were being placed into.a shotgun start. It didn't matter except that the guy in the pro shop practically barked at me when I tried to check in for our tee time.
Fortunately, we were placed with another couple that was very nice and we had a good day in spite of the rude staff. I
Good golf with great people.
Shotgun start was a bit unusual but worked fine and we finished 18 holes in under 4 hours.
Friendly staff and golfers.
Great course
Course in great shape a little slap at the par 3’s
When I got there person assigning carts was grumpy. Beer cart person left by 230pm with course still full.
I will play again.
Shotgun start
We were in the 1:00 shotgun start time. It was very chaotic getting carts. Then, when we started play, the pace was awful! We waited on EVERY shot. 41/2 hours later we finished. Have no interest in doing that again!
shotgun review
Week days are shotgun starts. It would be nice if they could figure out how to start the pm shotgun without it being mass confusion especially the carts.
Like the layout of the course
Like the course. We had a shotgun start which was a mass confusion of golfers in their carts. Slow play. Not a very friendly staff because they were overwhelmed with golfers. Really disappointed in the lack of accommodating the golfers wishing to have supper at the club.
Shotgun start
Bit different but effective to have a shotgun with 36 foursomes
Great course
What a lovely well groomed course! Very forgiving and the shotgun format works very well. Everyone was super helpful and friendly!
We paid for an 18 Hole game. We teed off around 3:15 PM . We only got 11 holes in before we had to turn cart in due to 6:00 cart curfew. Just be aware that if you have a late tee time you may not get all your holes in.
6:00 cart return
I would have given 4 stars+ except for the 6:00 cart return rule which was exasperated by slow pace of play on the front 9. We had a 3:15 tee time so getting 18 holes in wasn't feasible. But I did think maybe 15 or 16 holes. The open golf players caught the regulars around the 3rd hole. Pace of play was painfully slow for the rest of the front nine. On the back 9 pace of play was good. We got 3 holes in by the 6:00 cart return policy. We probably could have gotten 2 or 3 more holes in before dark.
