Very good golf experience
The course is in excellent shape, very forgiving for any calibre of golfer but sufficiently challenging for the low handicap. Having to walk to your ball on 5 holes on front 9 I played down and up big hills is a pain but part of the experience. Overall good value but I only paid $105 on Golf Now...full rate would be high.
excellent experience
The course was in great shape, everyone treated us great. Would recommend the course to everyone.
great place
Love this place. Play it often. Great fsirways and greens.
One of the better courses in the area
Course in great shape. Gr=ns were beautiful.
Paid $89 to play the course through golf now.com
Top Notch Facility
Kierland is expensive, but it's worth it. Top notch facility: nice practice area, and putting green. The staff is welcoming, and the course conditions were pristine. The restaurant has good food too. I'll definitely come back again.
A nice vacation coure
We were fortunate to book our tee time at a
Very good rate and at a time the when the course was almost empty. 3 hour round almost unheard of at Kirland
Decent Course- EXPENSIVE
Perfectly enjoyable. Course was in near perfect shape.
The $205 greens fee was the only drawback. It wasnt worth that money.... but then, in my opinion, very few are
Beautiful & challenging golf course
The staff could not have been more friendly. Wide fairways with very well protected greens - they do like their bunkers! The course is in excellent condition. Felt bad that there was no sand available for divot repair.. We'll play here again.
A Good Resort Play
Nice wide fairways with excellent undulating greens, several greens protected with bunkers. Bunkers need a little better grade of sand, (a little rocky).
Beware of goose droppings
The course seems to be challenged in dealing with Canada Geese. They have taken over the 9th hole green on the Acacia course. The extent of goose droppings on the green is extensive. This was a situation that was not expected given the premium price that is paid to golf this course.
Nice resort golf
Course was in beautiful shape. Fairly easy course helps with the pace of play. No real challenge for advanced golfers but still an enjoyable round. Great course for beginners and intermediate. Tough to lose a ball all fairways slope in. Staff is fantastic, fairly typical resort golf
Golf in Scottsdale
Keirland was the last of four courses played in six days in Scottsdale. The weather was the worst of the four, but the golf was the best. The course was in fantastic shape, the greens fast and rolled true. Played from the tips, and was just over 7000 yards, has plenty of tees for golfers of all calibers. Will definitely be back on my next visit.
Great day & Excellent value at Golf Now rates
The staff were friendly and professional. We were the last group off at 8 am as there was a company tourney in Pm (shotgun). Our wives are novice golfers and they enjoyed the experience from the lavender tees. Even though the course is next in line for over seeding it was in very good shape. Our rate was discounted about 70% of typical. Would not pay normal stated rate. That is why we use golfnow.com.
Beautiful finish
One of the best finishing holes I've played. Overall great course in great condition. I would recommend this as a selection if only playing a few courses.
Course Condition OK. Cart ran out and had to walk back to clubhouse
Course condition was good but the greens were rough and putting was more difficult than it should have been.
Cart broke down on 16 at 6:15PM and pro shop was closed so no one would come bring another cart. Did not want to leave cart on course so we pushed cart up hills the last 3 holes.to clubhouse. Being a senior, I now have to miss playing golf due to a strained leg muscle. Incurred the expense of a doctor visit and medicine. Talked to pro shop the day after it happened and they said "yea, we close at 6:00PM". Tough luck I guess.
Not what you expect from a Resort, especially one that you have rented a Villa for two weeks!!!
First Timer
I think this course was pretty average for Arizona. Some of the amenities boasted about such as: upgraded carts, misters on carts... were less than impressive or not even working well. The fairways were very wide and forgiving. I am glad I was able to play the course at the summer rate rather than the ones I've seen in the winter.
Decent
The course is in nice shape, considering it's August in AZ. The greens are coming back nicely (it looks like they were punched within the last few weeks). Pace of play was a little slower than I would expect but we were told there was a tournament two groups in front of us. We received the Starwood discounted rate of $59. That's a little high for this time of year, but my playing partner (visiting from NY) wanted to play Kierland.
pretty nice, traps could've been nicer
It's a resort golf course so wide fairways and giant greens...It's a nice layout
Where is the ranger?
The green was punched and covered with thick sand. The pace of play was absolutely horrible as they even allowed a sixsome group on the course, never saw the ranger once during the entire round. Very disappointed especially this is a Troon managed course.
Great Facility and Staff, wish I had known the greens had just been punched at time of booking
My review title pretty much gives away how I felt about the round. The course is very nice, it is easy layout for folks who tend to spray shots (resort course), it has some challenging bunker postitions, and the course is well kept (especially the portion where the greens were not recently punched). Love the idea of air conditioned carts for the summer in AZ, the actual spray modulation needs a bit of work.
Overall I would play here again and just make sure the greens were not punched recently.
