Mesquite/Ironwood at Kierland Golf Club
About
Unlike many other Scottsdale courses, Kierland Golf Club's three nines sprawl across rolling hills without a single cactus in sight. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Mesquite/Ironwood Course is has player-friendly fairways that are generous and easy and the green are large but not particularly undulating or fast, which makes the golf course accessible to a range of different skill levels. The course isn't entirely forgiving though. The Mesquite nine may be the flattest of the three nines but it is also the toughest. The par-4 sixth is especially demanding. The challenges of Mesquite are balanced by the player-friendly nature of the Ironwood nine. There is some strategic mounding but overall the links design is very approachable. The golf course ends with its signature hole, a classic risk-reward opportunity with a lake to the right and sand traps to the left.

Pace of Play? lol
Fellas in front of us showed up for their tee time at our tee time, so already off to a 10 minute delay. They took 5 practice swings no lie for every hit, slowing everything down. Now, I hear you already. "If they are that slow play through". I did. But then the group in front of them (2 holes up) was just as bad.
The issue here is there is no ranger. The entire 18 holes I played, didn't see a ranger once to push people along. They don't enforce ready golf or anything fine. For $100 I figured they would have at least some rules.
plays very very slow
Played 5/30/26- was put behind a tournament with no warning- Marshall on 3 said it would speed up. It got slower. Never saw a marshall after.

Love this club! Beautiful course with great staff. I highly recommend this course.
Fun Course
This course was on my list to play. It did not disappoint. Many of the holes were picture perfect. Many courses no longer have sand in the bunkers. This course was a return to sand instead of rock or dirt. The greens were in good condition with challenging pin positions. The staff was friendly and all worked to make you feel welcome. This is a course to play but had to wait for cheaper play as it is on the pricier side. Enjoyed the round!
Overpriced
$320 for, at best, mediocre conditions. 2nd worst value in Scottsdale after TPC Stadium. Third time playing here and I won’t be back. Prices went up but course is beat to heck.
What a treat!
Summer rates at this place is a bargain at twice the cost. Very impressive course. Lanscaping was spectacular. Can't wait to play here again.
Unusual heavy rain flooding in Arizona
Nice course layout but unfortunately the flooding from heavy rains the night before ruined some of the fairways and bunkers.
The course staff were working on fixing the damage.
Looking forward to playing it again in the future.

first time on this track, good track , being a Senior it's still a good track.

Haven’t played the course in a few yrs but it was in great condition. Fairways and greens were top notice. This course never disappoints

Played in the 108 temp this summer in AZ, course was in good shape for the temp, liked the range they had a cover to shade you from the heat, they were punching holes on
