About Wild Horse Pass
Wild Horse Pass is a 2,700-acre development on the Gila River Indian tribal community grounds with two separate hotels that are a partner of the 36-hole Whirlwind Golf Club, home to the Devil's Claw and Cattail courses as well as a full practice facility. The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is a 500-room, AAA Four-Diamond resort that features an Aji Spa with private pool and cafe and a Forbes Five-Star-award restaurant. Activities include four pools, one of which has a 111-foot waterslide, or enjoy the tribal terrain with horseback riding or trail rides. Particularly unique to the Phoenix-Scottsdale Sonoran Desert is Wild Horse Pass's marina with boat rentals on the Gila River. There is a Sheraton Adventure Club for kids with a full slate of guided activities. Whirlwind Cattail
Our go to course in the Phoenix metro area. Can't go wrong playing here. We need off at 1:30 pm on a sunny Thursday afternoon and were done in 3.5 hours. Just a fabulous course.

Great course.
2nd time playing here. Great practice facilities and fantastic pace of play today. Teed off just before 1pm and finished in 3h50m.
Fairways and greens were in very fine condition.
I’d love to play here again.

Course was OK, except for the greens which were patchy, sandy and very bumpy. If they're like that year round, I would not recommend this course. Because of the poor condition of the greens, I was not overly impressed. If the greens were better, I would recommend this course.

Terrible greens.
Charging a very hefty price for a course that was in so-so shape. The greens were quite bad - patchy, bumpy and sandy.

Enjoyable round
Course was in great shape and pace of play was 4:15 with all tee times booked. Both courses at whirlwind dont make the turn at the club house between 9 & 10, so make sure you have plenty of supplies. There is a food cart but was pretty much sold out on sandwiches both days we played

Perfect Desert Course
We were in town for a week and played 5 courses. This was the best. Course was in perfect shape (Devil's was seeded later and wasn't quite all the way back yet). Wouldn't hesitate to play it again.
