Brown Fairway. I think this is the 9th fairway but it is typical of all fairways. Photo submitted by sherpaboy on 02/12/2022

Great Value!
For a full course and the decent conditions, you can't ask for a better price! This course seems to be a secret gem (a secret for now) as you can usually get a decent tee time and the conditions are never bad. If you get off the fairway too far you may disagree with the conditions, but that's what you get for missing the fairway, lol. They are remodeling the off-course amenities so I'm excited to see it progress, but it will likely cause it to become busier, good for them!
Hoping to see improvements
I know they are going to reconfigure course and build homes soon. Can’t wait til that happens as course is pretty poor shape right now.
Greens are okay.
Took way to long to play.
Much improved conditions. Teeoff hot deal worth it
Compliments to the greenskeeper staff and owners on the much improved conditions since the last time I played here maybe a few months ago. The tee boxes, fairways and approach areas around the green complexes have new grass and there seem to be less gopher holes than I remember from last time. Bunkers are still pretty much hard-pan dirt though. Greens were slow but decent condition with minimal ball marks. Lots of coot bird poop on #12 green but I think they cleaned up the debris from the two lakes as it didn't smell as bad as before and it was very scenic, with lots of other birds/cranes grazing around. Always very windy in the late afternoon, I should've clubbed up more often (and hit putts harder)! Was a fun day out at Carlton. Cart girl came around a few times. It was a packed day so pace was pretty slow. Hot dog at the turn from bar was hot and quick. The bar is great for sports and their regular menu is decent if you decide to stick around afterward.
Improving
The course had fallen into disrepair lately but has made significant progress over the past 6 months. New grass around the greens and tee boxes. It still has a ways to go but the improvements are welcome and make the place look better.
OMG
A total mess the fairways was a combination of weeds, dirt and craters
they explained they’re doing a multi million dollar renovation but honestly, we should’ve paid half what we did
i’m sure it was once Beautiful, but it has not been maintained in a very long time. extremely rundown and half of the vegetation was dead.
This course has some great features very challenging course you'll see when you get there
This is a very challenging course to play Lately the tea boxes have new grass look very nice and the greens are in very good shape and the fairways are starting to get nice thick patches of grass in there this is a very good course to play don't pass it up get out there and play it great course
Great Tough Course
If you’re an avid golfer and want a challenge check it out. Course condition isn’t the best as they will be fixing the irrigation to help.
Carlton oaks
Nice course great layout wonderful staff keep it in your course inventory
Course review
We had breakfast before the round; food was excellent and reasonably priced. The course layout played well and the course was very fair, not too difficult. The greens were okay, not difficult to read.
Don’t waste your money
The only good thing about this course was the greens and golf cart. Other wise it needs a complete up grade, once an excellent example of Pete dye design.
Good layout but greens are slow
Bunkers are in terrible shape with hardly any sand and water logged. They should improve the bunkers and increase green fees by 3-4 dollars
