Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club

This is a fun, but challenging course. Pretty good pace of play until the last 3 or 4 holes. Got behind a group that was extremely diligent and slow. Last 3 or 4 holes took almost as long as the front nine. Marshalls here are usually very good about ensuring a good pace of play, but we didn't see any after the first few holes on the back nine. Still and all a good day for golf, hot and windy Santa Ana weather, common for this time of year. Great staff to help with food and drinks and always friendly. Recommend this course for any average to good players.

Just a nice relaxing day of golf. Weather was pleasant and course was very enjoyable.

For $55 you won’t find better. They are under renovations so some of the conditions are expected

This place has lost all its charm and character. Zero maintenance or care. It’s sad how bad the shape of the course is. Total lack of pride in once was a great course. Owners should’ve ashamed

Basically the cheapest full size course in San Diego county which I appreciate as a budget golfer.

To know that this was once a premium course and to see it now is just sad. We can only hope the future plans will come to fruition

Some of the fairways are rough. So we allowed a bump. But even with bump a tough course. They are re-seeding tee boxes so some of the tee markers are really long. Still enjoyed it .

I love the course. Didn't love the condition it's in. The greens are what's saving this place in my opinion. I want to CONDEMN golfers who refuse to repair ball marks. These greens are fragile enough. This course is such a great layout. I will return soon. FIX YOUR BALL MARKS GOLFERS.

The course was not at its best condition. The bunk sand is firm and sands on green. But it was still fun to plan. Good for the value.

A good day for golf at Carlton Oaks. Not as hot as earlier in the week, Course was in fair shape, although the greens had been punched two days prior. But it was well advertised so we knew what to expect, Fairways were a little dry in places, but overall, not bad. Recommend this course for a good practice round for an average golfer like me. Probably not the best for a good golfer who takes the game seriously, but reasonably good for the price. Give it a shot for your weekly practice round!
