About Cimarron Golf Resort
Guests of the Cimarron Golf Resort will be comfortable at the Staybridge Suites Cathedral City, an extended-stay hotel that is the perfect alternative to corporate apartments or restrictive vacation rentals. All 197 units include a full-sized fridge, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. A Raintree Vacation Club with two bedroom condos and the Worldmark Cathedral City hotel are also available onsite. The golf courses, the 6,700-yard Boulder course and the 3,000-yard executive Pebble course, are set to a backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.Facts

Not a big deal but 20 minutes late at the first tee. Apparently scheduling issues just ahead of us. Too many golfers and they had to split to 2 groups.
Pace of play was good for mid morning. Just over 4 hours.

Basic par 3
Course had some challenging holes, but was very basic. Straight away holes, with a few elevated greens, and not much character. Fairways were thick and rough and very inconsistent. Greens were fair but inconsistent. Some slow and others quicker. Pace of play was poor, with waiting on some holes and then speeding up to catch up, and then slowing down and waiting to hit. Best hole was the last, with some challenge, and beauty. The rest of the course was pretty non descript. Not very interesting to play. You needed a lot of patience to get through this course. Not worth the money. Other par 3’s are better value than this course.

I liked the course but too slow
This is a fun par 3 course, but the pace of play was so slow that it spoiled any enjoyment. It was so slow we couldn't finish the last two holes because we had another appointment.

Crowded
It was two crowded, I had a 2:16 tee time. By time I I got on the course it was after 3:00. I was only able to get in 13 holes before it became to dark. Was unable to get in the full 18..

Slow Par 3
Slow Par 3 - 18 hole course I've played before but this was ridiculous .- 3hr and 45 mins. to complete.

the course was closed that day due to rain runoff in the wash and we never played.

Nice course, but due to the rain the front nine was closed.

Sanoran Mustard Weed
I had a great day of golf, and everything was perfect! The only thing that distracted me was the dreadful Sonoran mustard weed that is already beginning to sprout seeds. This weed is invasive and crafts out all the natural wild flowers that are so lovely! I sure am hopeful that he will choose to tackle these weeds before they take over.

Typical Palm Springs Public Course - Friendly Staff
This course to me was your typical Palm Springs public course, nothing special however the staff were super friendly and informative so I'd say the great staff puts makes this course stand out among the many other peers in the Valley. I wish they had pull carts to rent for out-of-towners who prefer to walk.
Fun
Played solo round behind a beginner couple and a foursome. So played two balls, one ball from blues, one from fed tees….. was awesome until we finished 5….. there were four groups waiting at 6th hole, so I ducked around and went to 13th and finished the round not seeing anyone ahead of me. Hitting two balls was like 18 holes - no complaints for just getting off a plane from Canada and getting rust off - I will return👍
