Great break from typical par 72 course
We had a last minute decision to get in another round and found this opening. While par 3, several holes had long distances, needed more than an iron. Hope to get on the course again next time in PS.
The staff
I want to share my recent experience because it was very disappointing. I’ve been to this course more than five times, and unfortunately, the customer service from the front staff continues to be an issue.
When my son and I arrived in the morning, we dropped off our golf bags at the designated area like everyone else. I then went upstairs to pay. The cashier seemed to have an attitude from the start. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, assuming maybe it was just early and she wasn’t fully awake yet. After paying, I walked away but realized I forgot to purchase practice balls. I went back and waited in line again. I noticed her tone was much friendlier with the customers ahead of me. However, when it was my turn, her attitude noticeably changed. Her tone felt dismissive, almost as if she was irritated when I told her I needed to buy practice balls.
After that, I went back downstairs and noticed that other golfers’ bags were being loaded onto carts by the staff member in the drop-off area. The employee was actively helping everyone else, but he did not assist my son and me. Instead of waiting, I told my son we would just load our own bags. The staff member followed us briefly but still did not offer help. Shortly after, another group arrived, and his demeanor completely changed. He greeted them warmly, saying, “Good morning, let me get that for you. Don’t worry, I’ll load your bags by the time you come back.” The difference in treatment was obvious. I even asked him directly if he treated everyone the same way or only certain people. He ignored me and walked away.
Later, when it was time for us to tee off, the staff member at the first tee also had an unfriendly attitude. The overall experience made us feel unwelcome.
What stood out the most is that the landscapers were actually the friendliest people we encountered. The employees who interact directly with customers—the cashier, the bag drop staff, and the tee-off attendant—should be the ones providing the warmest and most professional service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
I believe everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect and courtesy. After visiting more than five times, it’s disappointing to continue having negative interactions with front-facing staff. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service, especially with employees who are the first point of contact for guests.
Great short course
This is the first course we play every year after we arrive in Palm Springs. This is a great course to play to warmup our golf game after several months with no golf at home.
Great Short Course
Challenging par 3’s are interesting and the greens are in great shape! I love a great challenge
Good short game courseg
Quick 18 holes. Nice course conditions and an excellent par three layout.
This course is amazing
First time at this course and it was phenomenal will most definitely do it again.
Great course
Fun course, great condition of greens. One or two greens need help, no good pin placement available
Played Pebble
Conditions of fairways and greens were good, but hole #6 was a problem. The flag/hole was on the edge of a riize and all balls rolled down. It should allow for balls to go over the rize.
Hidden Gem
Great track and in really good shape! Looking forward to playing the Boulder Course soon. Definitely recommend this track!
An Excellent Test of Your Bag
Friendly staff helped with the bags and set us off to the pro shop on the upstairs level. Check in was quick. Driving range balls are not included in the green fee. The putting green and driving range were close to the #1 tee box. The driving range was full size, so you could work on all the clubs. The course is 17 holes of par3 and one hole of par4, however there is no fairway for any of the holes, even the par4 - you are either on the green/fringe with your tee shot, or playing from the long grass (or a bunker!). There is a waste area that runs through most of the course, which can be a bit treacherous if there has been recent rain, so the local rule is play it as a penalty area and don't drive your cart into it. The holes had a variety of tees, thus you can expect to use most of your clubs in the bag. The conditions were very good, and the greens, except for a couple of tread marks that had not fully recovered, were very good as well. We found it to be a good choice for a starter round to help you get acclimated to the desert golf conditions found on many courses in the area.
Golf course experience
Horrible experience. I’ve never been asked to show proof of purchase on the golf course—especially not on the first hole, in the middle of teeing off. The marshal stopped us while we were teeing off to ask for a receipt, which I did provide. We were early to our tee time, yet he still rushed us and warned us to stay on schedule. I asked that he also check the groups behind us for receipts and pace of play. While I was picking up my lost balls, he made a sarcastic comment telling me I “better pick them up.”
This interaction completely threw off the day. I appreciate the other staff members who checked on us and later told us the marshal was spoken to, but it was still a terrible way to ruin what should’ve been a great round of golf. If there’s no “no receipt” option, staff shouldn’t be interrupting players mid-round to ask for one.
This marshal questioned our presence, rushed us unnecessarily, and was disrespectful from the start. I golf here often, but this experience ensured it will be my last. Avoid this course if you don’t want marshals on power trips creating problems instead of managing the course.
