Cimarron Golf Resort

This course is challenging but not impossible. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape. My only extreme criticism is that there are no restroom facilities on the course with the exception of gross porta potties. For the price of this course, and how nice it is otherwise, it really needs one decent restroom out on the course. You do not have time to go back to the clubhouse after 9 holes, you will definitely delay play.

Our first time at this course and it was a stellar round… well maintained, great staff and an awesome Thanksgiving dinner to boot!!

It is way better now than last week. Back nine not as muddy . Only thing left is for tbe greens to gether faster,great course. Will be back next week.

Course in great condition. Greens a little slow and the Bermuda hasn't quite come in yet, so the fairways are a bit "thick". Other than that, a great time! Pace of play, about 3 - 3 1/2 hours, a little long for a par 3 but they had a beverage cart which made it easier to take!

The course appears to be getting better after the rain storms earlier. Even after just recently opening up for the fall, too many ball marks in the greens that were not fixed, but that’s golf. When it’s windy, the course is more demanding than ever. Speed of greens were great and fairways are thin in some spots. All around, an enjoyable day.

Had a nice round Saturday 11/18- course in good shape despite all the sand in the wash areas from the storms- greens pretty nice , but not super fast ( peeps should fix their ball marks) …. All the staff were extra nice and friendly as well - Would definitely play here again! Total of 4.5 stars for me

The front nine was in great condition but lots of muddy fairways on back nine.18 th fairway grass was very long,so hard to find golf ball..it just opened the day before from overseeding, so will get better. Greens were also very slow..

So many dry sandy gulches to play over. They weren’t great to look at either. I’m not sure if the course is under construction? Views from every angle of mountains, etc were beautiful

The course needs several more weeks before the conditions merit the price that is charged!

I thought the course was in real good condition. The pace was slow. We had to wait on every shot. Joined a great group and enjoyed the day. Would come back

Booked an 11:20 tee time for my wife and I. We arrived at the course at 10:45 thinking we would just have time to warm up before the round. On the way to the driving range we saw a big line of carts backed up on the first tee box. The starter informed us that a ladies group or tournament had the course backed up and there was also a men's group right behind them and we would probable be 20-30 minutes late teeing off. We hit our practice balls and returned to the first tee to see an even larger line of carts waiting to tee off. We ended up teeing off around 12:25 so an hour late. The first 5 or six holes were painfully slow and it ended up taking 3 hrs to play the front nine. The couple that we were paired with had to leave after 9 holes as they had dinner reservations and show tickets and knew they would never finish the round in time. We stuck it out for until hole 15 when paly slowed down again with 3 groups on a hole. Finally gave up without playing 16-18 as we just got tired of waiting between shots. in 40+ years of playing golf we have never had to be delayed an hour to tee off except for possibly a rain delay. Now for the course condition, I realize that this winter was a real struggle with major flooding from rain storms and I applaud the efforts of the course maintenance staff to get it to the level that it is. Yes it was a bit rough around the edges so to speak but all in all they did a great job! Too bad we didn't get to finish. Would we play it again? Maybe but only we could be guaranteed that we would tee off on time and finish well under 5 hrs. Additional note: this course is really close to the Palm Desert airport with jets coming and going every 20-30 minutes but unlike some course we have played in flight paths of airports we really weren't bothered by them and noise was not a problem (maybe the wind was blowing the right direction that day)

Tee-offs were 30 minutes behind with up to 5 minute wait on every tee. Ho-hum attitude from starter. With our original tee off time we should of got complete round in before darkness. We finished the 14th in darkness.

First off the staerter asked if I had ever played here and since I hadn't he gave me a few course tips. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens were a little fast, but true. Course is fairly open, but fairway bunkers are strategically placed. Had a great time!
