Probably Better Courses for the Price
Services and Maintenance of the course was lacking. The greens and fairways are ok but the bunkers were muddy and there was a good amount of deferred maintenance. It’s a shame because the layout is good and i’m sure it was a great course once. The pro shop looks like it’s going out of business. The biggest concern was really the value for what I was charged. I can’t see paying more than $45 for a round and we paid nearly twice that. I wouldn’t pay that to play there again.
good value
sneakiy water, condition of the sand traps was not good. Greens were in good condition as was the fairway
Lovely, nice greens, good price
My wife and I had a nice round with a couple friendly, local guys who play here a lot. It wasn't crowded. Pace was good. Greens are in really good shape. Excellent value.
Need more water in the coolers. I'll come back!
Good shape
The staff was friendly, the course was in good shape and the pace great! Fun to play.
Best condition in years
I have been playing CCCC for many years and apparently the tightwad owners have sprung for more overseeding. The fairways are not lush but healthy. Greens are very nice and fast. Bunkers are saturated with water from over night sprinklers. Love the layout and how it works through the housing. Carts are newish with charging ports for phones. The restaurant sits idle and no beverage cart on the course. Currently this is the best deal for your golfing dollar in the valley.
Good for price
Good course for the price!
I do hate that they make you share carts even if you’re sick or have asthma and are paired with a cigar smoker
Course conditions continue to improve
Course is in good shape. Greens run true and bunker conditions continue to improve. Pace of play was great completed round in 3 1/2 hours. Worth playing if your in the area.
Poor overall conditions., but decent greens
Tee boxes were uncut, and bunkers had very little sand, mostly hard packed dirt. Cart paths were broken up in places from past flooding. Hole 10 now reduced to a par 3...making it a par 70 layout.
Overall it was a less than pleasant experience, despite the good greens the nice pace of play....3:40 for a twosome.
No food and beverage service. Clubhouse restaurant permanently closed.
Still a great place to play
Played back to back rounds yesterday and today and I must say the course is very playable. Greens were true and fast, fairways were well kept and freshly cut.I will say the tee boxes were in need of a mow. Bunkers have an interesting mixture that is like firm mud. Some were better than others. Pace of play was 4hrs both days starting at 7:30. No range, clubhouse service or refreshment cart although beverages and snacks are available. All in all, great value golf.
February in PS
Hot and dry day made for a very surprising great experience. There was some debris from the big wind still on the coarse in the rough but the fairways and especially the greens were in great shape. Don’t judge the course by your first impression, play it. A bit expensive, no driving range but worth the time
Cathedral canyon play
The fairways are great greens ran true staff ways courteous a couple tee boxes could use some leveling the course is great though as is
Good value
It’s a decent course for the $ but hard to find your way around. Fortunately we had a gent playing with us who knew the layout and led us from hole to hole.
Great course
The course was very playable and worth the money. Hole 10 had damage from flooding, apparently from several years ago. It used to be a par 5 now a par 3.
Cow Pasture
This course needs a lot of love. It is not maintained very well at all sometimes it’s hard to find grass to place a ball on your neck shot. I would not recommend this course to experience golfers although the greens were excellent. The approach and fairways were terrible.
This is a nice course and fun layout.
The course was in great shape. The overseeing is only done on the important parts and looked and played well. The greens were in good shape and very few were showing excessive wear/ball marks
considering the golf traffic the course gets. If you are more interested in the golf versus club house venue, then this is a great value.
